Beautiful old place done up very tastefully inside. It is just as beautiful as the pictures. Pyrgos is lovely with some great restaurants like rosemary and cava alta. Lola who comes and cleans every couple of days is fantastic. Food and wine on the island is brilliant. Santorini is great for that one week chill out break.
Sotiris was great- very helpful in planning our trip and responded back quickly every time we had a question.
Lola, who met us and took care of our stay, was very kind and helpful, as well. She was very available if we needed her assistance with anything.
This place was amazing and I highly recommend this as a place to stay in Santorini. Not only was the place spacious and clean, but it was also beautiful with the different lights and lighting choices and the jacuzzi has an amazing view and is very relaxing. I loved it, and would definitely stay there again- especially with Sotiris and Lola's assistance!
We LOVED every second of our time at the Pyrgos Wine Villa! We pretended with lived there and I almost cried when it was time to leave (not kidding...) We're already plotting how to get back to Santorini and Pyrgos ASAP!
Sotiris was welcoming and incredibly responsive, answering texts and questions within five minutes - so appreciated! His assistant Lolla is fabulous and made sure we had everything we needed. They also offered to coordinate airport transport for 15 euro, which was wonderful. Take them up on the offer.
A quick note to future guests - Pyrgos is the sweetest little village and we highly recommend staying there. The map makes it seem like the wine villa is somewhere remote, but don't let that scare you into booking somewhere touristy and expensive like Fira or Oia.
Pyrgos is a charming, traditional Greek town with great restaurants and wonderful people. Hit up Santo Winery for a sunset to rival Oia without the crowds, and visit Kantouni and Brusco in the main square for delicious meals and wonderful ambiance. Best dinner of our trip was at Cava Alta, just up the way from the villa.
Envious of future guests visiting Pyrgos - have fun!
My family and I absolutely love staying in this delightful home. Everything about the EMPORIO CYCLADIC TRADITIONAL was beautiful - from the spotless house to the idyllic garden, pool and roof top area. Getting there was easy thanks to very helpful hosts and everyone we met was incredibly kind and welcoming - and especially forgiving of the fact that we spoke no Greek. The villa offers excellent privacy, good views and a really relaxing place to stay when you just want to sit and enjoy the sun. Emporio is a beautiful traditional village, with good access on the bus to the rest of the island. I'd recommend hiring a quad bike - yes they look and sound obnoxious but they do make getting around a little bit easier. I would definitely go back and would recommend this to anyone who wanted to stay in Santorini.
We would like thank Mr. Sotiris and Mrs. Lola for an amazing stay in the luxury terrace house with outstanding rooftop terrasse as well cozy terrace with hottub and exellently designed interier of the house. We were provided with welcome wine and a huge amount of drinking water in advance. Highly recommended to agree on transfer to and from the house to the airport or port. It was incredible stay for us and our family!!! Villa is going for 5 stars.
Such a lovely place to stay in Mykonos. The house looks just like the pictures - the location was wonderful as were the sunsets. Yannis met us and arranged a beautiful sunset cruise for us. The house was just as it is pictured in the photos. Another great Airbnb stay!
So many great things about Menia's Cave House! The location in Oia can't be beat! Just close enough to the action, but still quiet and peaceful. The inside decor is simple and comfortable. The daily housekeeping is great; coming home to fresh sheets and a clean kitchen is always a perk!
The best part would be Yannis, the house manager, though. He welcomes you, takes your bags to the cave house and then helps with ANYTHING you made need that week. He made us dinner reservations (and we always had the best table), he coordinated ATV rentals for us, the list goes on and on. We did all the right things on Santorini, mainly due to his recommendations. Would definitely come back next visit!!
Sotiris was a great host. He helped us with any enquiry we had, from Atv hiring to booking a cruise.
The house itself is exactly as described and seen in pictures. Very clean abd well maintained. Our outdoor space was very pleasant. We enjoyed having our breakfast/dinner by the terrace especially. Will definately come back again.
If you want a stunning view and a traditional cave house, come here! Sotiris arranged a shuttle for us which was so easy and cheaper for our family, plus Yannis (Sotiris' liaison) carried our bags down the steps to our house. The rooms were immaculate with amazing views. A glass of wine on the terrace is a must with the beautiful view of the blue domed churches and the Aegean Sea. But my favorite was that Sotiris is incredibly easy to reach with a fast response time, which came in handy when my sister unfortunately had her purse stolen at a restaurant and Yannis helped us sort that out. This was by far my favorite Airbnb ever!
The house is fantastic and the location stunning. Yiannis the housekeeper was extremely welcoming, helpful and friendly! Thank you so much. We enjoyed our stay very much!
