Rebecca is an amazing hostess!! She is very warm, welcoming, and down to earth and so is her roommate, Lauren. Her pup, pasha, is also very sweet and chill. The location is great and room is the perfect size with a large closet and a dresser. I enjoy their company and happy that I chose this place :0)
I enjoyed a lot my stay at Rebecca's home!!! I was 3 months to my PhD research stay and I can say that she made me feel like at my home. My bedroom was just perfect for my needs, and all house was great, with a excellent wifi connection, very well equipped kitchen with just anything you might ever need, comfy couches,...
Further, Rebecca is a very close, very kind and very active person, and a excellent cook and baker. I could try her delicious soups (that she made me very kindly when I was a cold), cakes, cookies, and a lot of things.
I can not forget the dog. I loved her from the very first day, she's adorable and we went for walks almost every day. I can truly say I have much affection that dog.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I didn't have a car so I traveled by bus and was fine because the bus stop for the line 20 to go to UT campus was really close of home. The neighborhood was quite peaceful and safe, and was good to go for walks with the dog.
I highly recommend it to anyone! and if I have the opportunity to return to Austin, I will stay at Rebecca's home!
Rebecca and her house mate Lauren made me feel very welcome over the course of a 20 day stay in their home. I am a graduate student and I was looking for a temporary place to stay in between a previous sublet and my apartment after recently moving to Austin. Rebecca's place suited my needs wonderfully-- The room itself was a decent size and had a very comfortable futon, huge closet space and a large dresser. The neighborhood was quite peaceful and seemed pretty safe. The house is not too far from the downtown area or University of Texas and seems to be a less high-traffic area than other parts of Austin. Also it is probably less than a 10 minute drive or short bus ride to a bunch of great restaurants and coffee shop in the Cherrywood neighborhood on Manor Rd.
For anyone looking for a more extended stay with Rebecca, I would perhaps recommend a car for getting around to other parts of Austin, but a bus is also doable. Another important thing!: Rebecca is a great baker and shared some of her creations during my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend Rebecca's guest room to fellow travelers!
I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Rebecca's place and I highly recommend it to anyone! The house was great, it has two living rooms, comfy couches, big TV, wifi, fire place which we used a few times, very well equipped kitchen with just anything you might ever need (Rebecca is a master of cooking & baking - I was very lucky to try her delicious soups, cakes, cookies, icecreams). And the bedroom was just perfect for my needs. If you need privacy, you will have it.
Rebecca is a very kind and active person, she keeps herself busy all the time but she always has some interesting story to share :)
Oh, and the dog - I loved her from the very first day, she's adorable and really well trained.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe. I didn't have a car but getting around by bus / bike was doable!
Super cool gal to have around the place. Quite and clean.
Rebecca is great! She's an amazing host of great get-togethers that usually involve delicious food that she has cooked. She's easy to talk to, friendly, and has a great sense of humor. And... she is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of our co-ed, city league softball team.
