We're an architect (Michael) and public health researcher (Kristin) in Boston, where we enjoy living in the city, as well as making excursions to the rest of New England, where we both grew up.
Aside from New England, our favorite part of the country is probably the Pacific Northwest. We love visiting (and revisiting) cities, big or small, and wandering around various neighborhoods, trying local food, and scoping out brewpubs, coffee shops and bookstores. Wherever we visit, we prefer to avoid tourist attractions and fancy hotels; we instead like to spend our time visiting real neighborhoods and imagining what it's like to live there.
We also enjoy hiking and the outdoors, especially in New Hampshire's White Mountains, or just renting a kayak on the Charles River in Boston. And we especially like cities that feel connected to the landscape around them.
As guests, we're very respectful, quiet and clean. We like to keep our place neat, and we try to do the same wherever we stay when travelling.
Basically, whether we're traveling or at home, we try to have fun. Because if we're not having fun, we're having something else; and if it's not fun, then why are we having it?
