Hi I'm Tori. We would be glad to have you as guests in one of our cottages or home.
Our trip to Clearlake was perfect, and VDL was a major part of that. Even though it was rainy and chilly during our weekend stay, we were greeted by a roaring campfire and a hot tub right on the water! Everyone on staff was very accommodating l, and Bob even helped us through our city-folk moment that we had with the outdoor pizza oven (the pizzas turned out fantastically, by the way)! We were never short on firewood or towels, and the place was as cozy and relaxing as it looks in the pictures! There's plenty of coffee and shopping walking-distance from the front door, so this place is perfect for an impromptu escape from the city.
We had a relaxing time staying at the cottage.
We enjoyed the hottub and hiking spots near Mount Konocti.
Tip: don't expect to do much cooking except BBQ, there is very limited plastic flatware.
My friends, dogs, and I had an AMAZING time! Hot tubs, kayaks, bbq grills, pizza oven, fountain, forks, pans, and of course, the breathtaking view -- you name it, the house had everything we needed!
Also, there is Safeway about 3 min-drive from the house which made cooking so convenient.
Bob and Sheila are very nice and helpful -- Sheila is responsive and will answer your questions as soon as she can. Bob showed us around the house and he will say that he is one phone call away and he means it!
I would love to go back next summer.
The property is beautiful. Situated right on clear lake. We grilled ourselves up a nice meal while the sunset in our backdrop. Tori and Bob took care of all of our needs.
Our trip was fantastic thanks to Bob and Tori! They even upgraded us to a nicer, more expensive room free of charge! We enjoyed kayaking and the spa as well, and overall it was a great place to relax and spend the weekend with my family. :)
Thank you so much!
Great place to stay! Bob was very nice. It would be a great spot for a family vacation on the lake.
My friends and I had a great time at our Vista del Lago cottage. The property is directly on the water at Clear Lake with a long pier, a beautiful deck overlooking the lake with an amazing view, a hot tub, and a number of outdoor grills in a large, welcoming space right outside the door. The room itself worked great for the four of us, though it could be considered a little bit tight quarters. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot for a weekend at Clear Lake. The owners are very nice and eager to provide whatever you need.
My only note, for planning purposes, is that the 'kitchenette' isn't going to help you make much food outside of a microwave and a mini-fridge. We had some prepared food so it wasn't a problem, but expect to either use the grills outside or a microwave inside.
The clearlake pad was awesome. Thanks to Bob and Sheila for being excellent hosts.
This place is really sweet! Especially if you are activity-oriented like myself and my friends. The compound is FULL of activities including kayaks, badminton, basketball, foosball, pool, hot tub, and ping pong. We took over for New Year's Eve, and had a complete blast...plus we had the lake all to ourselves. I think everyone else was in Tahoe, but this place is closer to SF, much more affordable, and just as fun. There is so much to do at the house there is really no reason to leave. The hosts were attentive but not invasive.
Tori and Bob were great. Kind of blew thru here on their way to a spectac condo in the Marina. Arrived just in time for shrimp tacos that Brisa was making for my lunch. They do Airbnb up north so that was fun to see someone else's place and swap (website hidden). They had an excellent dinner at Le Patron which I had never heard of and kindly brought me a card. Hope they loved their stay here and come back to PV in the future.
Although I only met Bob briefly, he was very gracious and kind.
