Five years ago I retired from teaching creative writing at Rice University in Houston. After years of living the ultimate urban life --full-throttled city life-- I have discovered such joy in Williamstown. My life has changed since moving here where I'm surrounded by such natural beauty. I love to host others who want to share a bit of this world. Many of my friends had come to visit and I discovered I loved being a tour guide/hostess. One day I overheard a friend talking on his phone to a coworker of his in LA. He said, "This is like a B and B. I've never felt so relaxed." Later he described my home as a " wild and wonderful art house." So I thought I'd throw open the doors! I'm originally from Louisiana so you should expect a bit of New Orleans flavor: strong coffee, southern accent, southern hospitality. I'm afraid the animals run the show around here. We are all somewhat demonstrative!
