Hello there! My name is Will, and I am currently a sophomore at Stanford University, CA. Though I study in America, I am actually an international student from London, UK, who decided that having a bit more intellectual and academic freedom couldn't be a bad thing. Having had that freedom, I have fallen in love with film, and am now a Film Studies major at Stanford, with a minor in Creative Writing. This summer, I will be working in LA doing two film internships - one at New Horizons Pictures, and the other at Plan B Entertainment (both of which I am pumped for!)
While I adore cinema (and will happily discuss it for hours), my interests vary from alternative living through Japanese culture to (recently) graffiti. Little enriches me more than spending time with people with diverse passions, separate or similar to mine, and understanding them. As a screenwriter and director, I am always looking for perspectives that can expand my own writing and thinking. At the same time, I also value my own space for reflection and meditation, though I am sure that will be possible wherever I stay.
As a guest, my priority is to respect the rules of the house. Having lived for over 7 years in the daily presence of others (I went to boarding school), I know how important it is to understand living habits, and to that end I am always clean, quiet when necessary, and welcoming. Even if the living style is unique to me, I will more than readily adapt, not only to accord, but also to experience an alternate lifestyle to the one I know.
That's already quite a lot to read, I know - so I'll cut it off here. I can imagine it's always going to be a bit of a risk taking a stranger into your home, but I assure you that whatever concerns or questions you may have, I can answer them. If possible, I would love to talk to hosts to get to know each other, and so that we can both feel out each others' personalities. In any case, I am excited to be part of the Airbnb community, and looking forward to whatever new adventure is lying in Los Angeles!
