writer living in lovely, extremely Polish Greenpoint, Brooklyn
Megan was very easy to communicate with, my brother and my father stayed in her apartment for two nights and were very pleased with their accommodations. Getting and returning the keys was simple and worry-free, I highly recommend.
Megan was very accommodating last minute. She stayed in touch and was easy to get in touch with. Her apartment was comfortable with all needs including wifi and a/c if needed in window. Easy access to greenpoint and williamsburg which are awesome nieghborhoods and where I used to live so was a great spot for me to see my friends.
My fiancée and I stayed at Megan's place in Greenpoint the first week of May 2013 and had the most excellent time. Her apartment is small but very cosy. The bed is great and so is the shower. I'm quite tall and it was nice to be able to stand upright under the shower head for once. The location is quiet but close to lots of very cool and friendly bars, cafés, restaurants, and parks. We met her briefly upon arrival and Megan is such a nice person. She was also very helpful - esp. letting us keep our luggage at her places way past our checkout time. Highly recommended!
The reservation was canceled 8 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Megan's place was lovely and a great area to stay in the city. Her apt is cute and comfortable and she left a nice list of places to stay and was easily accessible if I had any questions. Greenpoint/williamsburg is a great area, and megan is a great host :)
Although I never met Megan, she was very communicative and helpful. The apartment was exactly as pictured (small and clean). The Greenpoint neighborhood left a little to be desired. It was safe, in close proximity to a subway stop, and had a fantastic bakery, but there was no nightlife to speak of and nothing stayed open very late. Overall it was a good experience and a cute place.
Megan's apartment in Brooklyn was charming and certainly a home away from home. It's clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay and the location. The neighbourhood is quaint and we wished we had more time to explore it further. Although we never got a chance to meet Megan, she left clear instructions for the exchange of keys and the need-to-knows to make our stay comfortable. She was also very accommodating when we had to depart early because of Hurricane Sandy. We would not hesitate to stay at Megan's again.
Our stay at Megan's place in Greenpoint was fantastic. Everything went very smoothly, the bed was really comfy, internet super speedy, the apartment lovely - the whole experience was great, and she had provided everything you need for a city break stay. The location is really close to Williamsburg or a short walk to the G subway at Nassau ave which takes you all across Brooklyn, but very quiet at night. It really was a great location to explore a whole different side to NYC.
We said we'd stay here again, and we did! Great visit with a great home away from home, and Megan is always such a warm and welcoming host. 5 stars all around!
Megan's place was clean, comfortable and perfect for exploring Manhattan from a cool and laid back corner of this big city. It has also inspired us to come back to see more of Brooklyn! Her list of local eats led us to a delicious polish place that was delightfully veggie-friendly, and I'd also recommend a walk through the bountiful Saturday farmer's market in the nearby park.
