Our stay at Heather and Russell's was wonderful! The apartment/loft had a great, comfy feel and the close proximity to cafes and shops was definitely a plus. It was really lovely to be able to grab ground coffee and other provisions just a few feet away. We happened to visit during a crazy Winter storm, but still managed to stay warm with the space heaters. Our hosts were great at respecting our privacy, yet were totally available if we needed anything. Please note that the bed is a little on the hard side and the pillows were quite flat (I'm used to a TempurPedic pillow at home), but a cheap, fluffy $7 pillow from Target solved that. We would definitely stay at their place again in a heartbeat!
Cozy, newly renovated room in a developing old part of Atlanta near downtown, nightlife, and restaurants. Overall a great experience!
Russell & Heather are the best! We had a wonderful time in Cabbagetown ~ the location is perfect with lots to do in walking distance. We will definitely be requesting to stay again when we visit our daughter!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Russell and Heather's apartment in Cabbagetown. The setting is perfect, with restaurants and beautiful old buildings and houses lining the street. Next door is a fantastic store that sells everything from wine to breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits. The apartment was well-furnished with lots of eclectic touches and natural materials, like exposed brick and a kitchen counter that appears to be made from old doors. The furniture is comfortable for the most part; the mattress in the bedroom could use an upgrade. We didn't meet the hosts, but they responded quickly and congenially to emails. Check-in was a breeze.
The apartment suited us very well for the one night we were there. It was conveniently located near many restaurants. We also found it very easy to find and access with the directions supplied.
Great place in a cool little area of Atlanta. Very eclectic/cool decor with everything I needed for the night. Right on the street next to a couple bars/ restaurants. Being right on the street and having chairs outside where people sit to smoke/talk, there is definitely some street/conversation noise. Could hear people's conversations very clearly when sitting on the couch which kind reminded me that I was in the middle of it all and wasn't at all a problem for me, but if noise bugs you it may be an issue. Super quiet in the bedroom. Anyhow, loved my stay and am very appreciative to have had the chance to stay there. I'd recommend it.
We had a great time in Cabbagetown! This place has a great location to get to other places and the Little Store next door is super cool. The apartment is warm with the heaters and everything was clean. It has a lot of charm with exposed brick walls and chipped paint wood ceilings. Also the kitchen area looks like an old bar. Heather was very helpful and made things pretty easy. The negatives would be that the door to the apartment goes right onto the sidewalk and at night there were a couple of characters outside. Also the road is technically two-way but with the only parking being on the road there is really only room for one car to go down each way. It was a little difficult in that aspect but we just parked and walked or used Über to go anywhere. The Marta station is about a 20 min walk and the area is a little sketchy. All in all it worked for us but area didn't make us feel safe.
Had a great stay at this place! It was a quick in-and-out stay for us as we were only in town for a concert, but it definitely worked for what we needed. The trip was in mid January and the place was pretty chilly even with the 2 portable space heaters but it was no big deal. It's in a great central location and I do recommend Agave just at the end of the street for dinner. A side note...we went to a place called the Highland Bakery for breakfast (about 5 minutes away) and were blown away! Definitely worth looking into. We always love our trips to Atlanta and will keep this place in mind for the future.
This was a fine spot for my needs on this particular trip.
The location was convenient for my business trip.
It also had necessities within walking distance.
