Thank you for the feedback. Just to reply to a few things, I don't put a photo of the front of the house up for safety reasons. It would allow anyone to see that this house could be empty for a length of time.
I lived in this house for 5 years and have never had a problem with parking. It is on-street parking, it's never guaranteed, but always available in the area. I sincerely apologise about the floors, i had instructed my cleaner to do the turnover as soon as possible because i knew you were waiting. Same day turnover are always a little harder. The towels are only 3 months old, the reason they are worn is because they are washed 2 or 3 times a week for guests. I do leave all the shampoos and sanitary items in the bathroom for new guests. The bottles might only be half full but some guests don't have these things with them and appreciate that they are provided. I remove anything empty and replace it with a full bottle. I always make sure the cupboards are full with tea, coffee, hot chocolates and fresh milk in the fridge. They may not be considered surprises but i feel it's a nice gesture. I have been in many airbnbs that didnt even have salt. The painters are due in november when we have a break in guests. I feel we price the house very well, all other similar accommodation in the area is at least 20 euro more expensive per night. it's 33 euro per night per person in my house, sometimes cheaper. I feel this is very reasonable considering it is 25 euro per night in a hostel. And, hotels are extremely expensive in dublin. Also, this isn't a hotel, it's our home. The house is 130 years old in an amazing area full of character and charm. Across the road from, in my opinion, the best pub in Dublin. I might not be a hotel but it is a beautiful house in a great area and we are very proud of it. The only reason we don't live there is because our family outgrew it. I am really glad you enjoyed your time in Dublin, and i apologise if the house wasn't up to standard. We really do try our best to make it perfect for our guests.
Hi Anja, Thanks for the review. I would just like to say sorry again for the stain on the sheet. I took it home and did everything to get it out and it seems to be some kind of dye on the sheet. I take the cleaning very seriously in my house. Especially the bed linen. The sheet was definitely cleaned but somehow was partially dyed, maybe from a cleaning product. Thanks again for the feedback and my apologies again.
