Sorry to hear Lisa had a bad experience. We left her a good review because it was a smooth experience on our side and we received no other feedback. But given the negative nature of her review, we feel inclined to provide our thoughts.
1) Price. Lisa visited Berkeley during one of the busiest months in Berkeley (graduation) and we had peak pricing in effect. It's extremely unfair for her to complain about the price if cheaper alternatives were fully booked. Further, we normally do not accommodate 1-night stays.
2) Sub-par - We encourage people to read our other reviews for a balanced perspective on our apartment. We are confident that the quality of our unit and building measures significantly higher than the average Berkeley housing stock.
3) Challenge to find parking. It's perplexing how this could be a complaint. That's what comes with the "Great Location" proximity to the downtown! And again, graduation month = tons of visitors = no parking!
4) Parking - We had a secured parking spot available upon request. All she had to do was ask (or read our description).
To be blunt, Lisa was lucky to book the single available 1-night slot during the peak month of May. She seemed like a nice person, and we hope this was simply a matter of bad timing and mis-aligned expectations. We wish her the best of luck with future stays!
