I am a world explorer, musician, photographer and foodie. I love to explore new cultures and meet new people. My friends all over the world can attest to me being a good and gracious guest.
My niche for traveling and discovering the world started at the young age of 10. Every summer I toured foreign countries with a children's choir to compete at international music festivals. I had the opportunity to experience the music, culture, food, and best of all, stay with homestays that gave me a better understanding of the daily lives of thosee country citizens. With the choir, I visited Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Mexico and Canada.
In high school, I was a part of missionary organizations as a photographer to capture footage of the organization's activity in fulfilling their purpose in helping the poor and needy. I was trained with YWAM to do mission work in Tijuana, Mexico, and after graduating from college, I joined SAM - a Korean-based organization that traveled several times a year to northeastern China near the border of North Korea. That was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!!!
After 4 fun years of college, I toured all over France with a choir - stayed in medieval castles, performed in historic monasteries, experienced the celebration of France winning a game during the 2006 World Cup in Paris and last but not least, eating scrumptious escargot with fine wine and baguette. bon appetit!!!
My most recent trips have been with my lovely wife of 7 years - the exotic city of Cancun Mexico, the beautiful mountain terrains of Banff Canada, the western-colonized but unique city of Shanghai China, and my mother country of South Korea. I not only have a taste for overseas trips but I am an avid camper and hiker - planning annual trips to Yosemite and places similar to that like Yellowstone, Big Sur and the Oregon coast.
Throughout my travels I have traveled in all types of transportation, but the style of traveling I prefer the most is driving. As a driver, driving in rain, sunshine, hail and snow, I have mastered my keen sense of sight, scent and sound of undiscovered roads and surroundings. Plus, I familiarize myself with everything because I am always alert to keep track of my final destination. I am a law-abiding citizen with an excellent track record of 10 plus years of driving vehicles in California.
I am a great guest to have - my friends and family all over the world can attest to that. I can admit to being OCD where I make sure everything is set the way it was when I had first arrived. Funny thing is that when I stay at hotels, quite often than most, room service skip my room because I literally make the bed(s), put away linen and keep the bathroom clean - I treat it like my own home.
I am a genuine person with an open-mind and a big heart. I disregard worry and stress and I especially hate criticism and judging. I am a happy person who craves the need for happiness in everyone's life.
