Hello from a fellow New York host.
The reservation was canceled 13 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This studio is in a great spot close to many of the key midtown attractions (a short walk away), but in a neighborhood that is very quiet - which is a real plus. I used this suite on a business trip, but would be great for a couple on a weekend getaway as well!
A real New York experience! Lovely small place 2 blocks from the UN Headquarters and maybe 3 to the next subway station. Wood floors, kitchen, comfy bed, light, airy, practical. You're in the middle of the big, living city, so expect traffic and neighbor noise, but the location is hard to beat on the East side. Great diner on the block; great restaurants in the neighborhood.
Kat was helpful and accommodating and replied quickly to communication. She was also very helpful when we were delayed in New York due to weather allowing us to stay extra nights on short notice.
The apartment however was not particularly well cleaned as the floor was gritty and there was an unknown and unnameable substance in the oven which emitted a foetid smell when the oven was turned on without checking what lay within beforehand. The apartment was also a little noisy as the ceiling seemed to have been crafted employing the same techniques used in the construction of high quality percussive instruments.
There is a supermarket around the corner and a number of pizza and take aways in close proximity.
In short a little noisy and needs a good clean, but a good stay otherwise.
Getting the key was very easy and well organized. Also good to have an elevator in the building. The apartment however was a disappointment. It was extremely noisy. You could hear everything from the neighbors on the floor above. Also the fridge made so much noise that I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. The mattress was very thin and not very comfortable. So all in all I found it to expensive for what I got and will not recommend it to my friends.
Kat's place is really comfortable and in a superb location. Very clean. Kat's friend who let us in was super helpful.
Avoid basement laundry on Mondays daytime (busy).
Fantastic stay. Great location in NYC. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants and not too far a walk to the nearest underground station. The apartment is large and spacious for a studio and true to the pictures posted. We had no issues picking up keys and getting settled in. Would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting NYC.
Our stay at Kat's Loft Studio in Midtown was excellent. It was a great location, close to the subway and we were able to walk to many attractions in the area which was awesome.
The apartment itself was great, very clean and we were able to store our luggage safely before check in and after check out - very accommodating. Overall it was a great stay and I would recommend to fellow travellers.
Great communication from Kat and friends, nice split-level apartment, perfect for two; clean, well-maintained (A/C & kitchen electrics worked fine). Amazing location for Central Manhattan and UN. Neighbours could be a little noisy (wooden floors are creaky) but earplugs did the job.
Kat was respectful guest and easy to communicate with.
She left the apartment in great shape, and I wouldn't hesitate recommending her to other hosts
