Hosts were very available for check-in and offered information about dining and transportation and printed out a map for us
Hosts welcomed us to enjoy the beautiful dining room overlooking the sea
Very affordable price.
Fresh squeezed OJ at 1 breakfast.
Outstanding view of Nice harbor.
Street parking was available (although it was listed as "resident parking" the host assured us we could park there) - and we had no problems.
There are 2 buses that pass by the apartment. However, the bus system stops shortly after 8pm, so we walked the very big hill many times. Not a problem for us, as we like the exercise. It would be convenient to stay close to the tram line, which seems to run all night - but it was important for us to have safe, convenient parking, so we chose this residential location.
Owner made room in the fridge for our large stash of chocolate gifts.
Other reviewers mentioned noise - but we did not have a problem with that.
The NOT SO GOOD:
There must have been a leaking pipe, because 1 of the lower tiles by the tub spout was removed and there was a definite mildew smell in the bathroom.
Guest toilet is shared with litter box
This is the second place we stayed where the toilet was in one location and the sink in another. Just a little odd to have to go to another room to wash your hands - but I guess that's all part of the charm of European plumbing.
First morning we got a mediocre bun, coffee and great fresh oj. The second morning we agreed to make our own (tea), as the owners said they may be staying with friends overnight. When we came in that evening, we noticed a teapot with tea bags on the dining room table - so I assumed that we would just add some hot water and be good to go. In fact it was the owner's leftover breakfast. That was a surprise! There was nothing put aside for us to eat (stale bread in a basket also leftover from previous day). We stopped at a cafe on our way out of the city.
Nice place with sea view! Jacques and Michele is very welcoming and offered us great breakfast, you can have either coffee or tea as per you like. Although it's not in the centre town, but it's walkable and you can go to Monaco and Éze directly with Line 100.
We feel like home and the cats are cute.
Really friendly hosts, great apartment lovely views, good breakfast! Thank you!
Jacques and Christine tried to be very friendly and helpful.
They offered us a good breakfast and some infomation for nice places in Nizza and sourrounding.
The insertion pictures were all correct and we had a nice view over the sea.
Sadly the room they offer for sleeping was very noisy because of the street and the traffic just above you.
For cooking you have to organize yourself with Christine. You should have eaten before 8 o´ clock p.m. because that´s the time she comes home and needs the kitchen.
Some understandings were quite difficult. Also you have to share the toilet with at least one cat which of cause results in cat smell.
After all we had a nice stay. We can recomment Nizza!
I and my friend have stayed 2 days at Jacques"s house and we enjoyed these 2 days very much. Jacques and his wife Catherine are very good host. They gave us a lot of information and recommendation about nice. Their house is well located just a few walk to port. Everything in the house is clean and the room is comfortable. More than that the sea view from the terrace is perfect. This is absolutely enjoyable to have the breakfast with the amazing sea view. We could even see firework from the terrace when there was beach party at port last Saturday. I highly recommend Jacques place to those who are going to visit nice. You will have a wonderful stay at Jacques house for sure.
Very nice stay. The appartment has a beautiful view over the harbour and Jacques was a welcoming host.
Jacques and Catherine, were very nice hosts. We got a lot of information about the city and what to do. The breakfast was excellent with a superb view and we really felt at ease. Location is also very good!
We have a good welcoming and the room is well located. You have to take in mind that you shared the toilet with two cats and in the kitchen you cant cook only you can use a part of fridge. The bed is comfortable.
Jacques and his family were great guests. They left everything very clean. I would certainly recommend them as your guests.
