I am a social worker and activist who has lived in San Francisco for nine years. I love to travel, sing, and dance.
By best friend and I found Yalith's place to be exactly as she described: it's no-frills and minimal, with its share of tolerable quirks, but the payoff is WELL worth it! It's right in the middle of the Mission; you are surrounded by great bars, restaurants, cafes, boutiques and vintage stores, plus within walking distance of two BART stops, plus a ten minute walk from Hyde Park, one of SF's best parks. In defense of her "run down" place, I gotta say: the bed was super comfortable, there was plenty of natural sunlight, the showerhead had great pressure, and it wasn't nearly as loud as we wear expecting. As a host, Yalith was very thorough in explaining any apartment quirks, was quick to respond, and was clear and articulate in all interactions. If you're youthful, not expecting the executive suite at the Westin, and want to stay in a supremely central location in the middle of all the action, stay at Yalith's apartment! I mean, isn't that why most of us use airbnb anyway?!
yalith was an awesome guest. Since i stay at my ny apt quite often, its wonderful when a guest stays in touch throughout to let you know things are going well. yalith was great at keeping in touch and my home felt very well taken care of.
Yalith and I have been coworkers, co-activists, and friends for several years. She's a lovely person, and I'm sure she's a wonderful host. Her apartment is right smack-dab in the middle of the Mission, so it's super close to lots of fun things to do. I'm sure she's a fantastic host.
