Hi, I'm Andy, I live and work in Vienna, Austria, and I'm a calm and friendly fellow who is interested in philosophy, economics (Austrian Economcis), theology and many other beautiful things.
When I travel, it most likely is for business reasons; originally a software engineer, I run my own company in the online Loyalty Marketing space and that’s keeping me quite busy.
Traveling for leisure is usually quite different from my business stays, and generally I'm more open to new experiences when in leisure travel mode. When traveling for business, I tend to prefer quiet and predictable experiences.
My favorite places are warm, green, and by the sea, have great restaurants and cultural offerings - and preferably English is spoken (German would do too, but that's less likely). San Francisco, Carmel by the sea, Santa Barbara, LA, but also London, even if that's not by the sea.
A selection of my favorite musicians (according to my Spotify acount); Alanis Morissettte, John Mayer, Röyksopp, Gavin DeGraw, OneRepublic, Placebo, Air, Coldplay, Yuna, Michael Bublé, Angel McCluskey, Collegium Vocale Gent, Telepopmusik, Robbie Williams, Jason Mraz, and a couple others. I think it's a quite diverse mix of different styles within a rather mainstream spectrum.
Reading wise… I do sometimes like Hermann Hesse, especially Siddhartha; Tom Hodgkinson, Roger Scruton; I used to like Don Norman and other authors on Design, User Experience Design and Software Engineering, but I'm sort of through with that. Nowadays I study Papal encyclicals, the Bible and theological scriptures; don't let that scare you off though, I'm neither boring nor do I have a great sense of mission :)
I hope this gives you a brief overview of myself; if you want to know more, you'll find me on all sorts of social networks out there and generally if you search my name online, you'll probably find more "public" and less personal information on me.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask :)
