Bernardo and Anabela have been friends for many years, and decided to be partners in the management of Casas do Pinheiro.
Casa do Pinheiro was a typical 18th century building in the city centre, normally for big families, and was recently bought by Bernardo and Francisca Amaral ( brothers) and rehabillitated for 4 different apartments. They live on two of them and the Studio and Duplex facing the street are destined to receive travellers and short term inhabitants. The rehabilitation project, conceived and directed by Bernardo, a free-lance architect, has been recently recognised with an honourable mention in a rehabilitation prize, promoted by the city council.
We both, live in Porto, in the city centre, for more than ten years, and always propose our new guest our own view on the city life, it's hidden spots and paths, restaurants, cafes, a good place to eat fish or hear some fado. Bernardo also organizes walking and driven tours, focused on the aclaimed architecture of Oporto School, but also on the city's urban development since the 12th century.
