The flat itself was excellent, in a really good location, it's well furnished, clean, actually larger than anticipated and very sunny.
Unfortunately we didn't actually meet Kim, we were an hour late after a delay with the bus from DC and some confusion regarding the precise location of the flat. We were met curtly by what I believe where the cleaners, on arrival they handed me the keys and left, without a word, there was no booklet or arrival instructions.
Fortunately Kim was available by text and after an hour or so I had the information I needed. Kim also kept in communication over the stay so the initial disorientation was short lived.
If in NYC again I would definitely stay again.
Great flat to visit NY.
Few steps from the 14th subway stop which almost leads you to the main NY spots.
Perfect location, the apartment was as advertised, very clean and spacious and perfect for a short stay in NYC
Perfect place for a trip to New York. Close to every location and there are two subbay lines at a walking distance. Ruby was very nice and kind. She tried to solve some little problems immediately. A tiny advice for apartment: It could be cleaner for future guests especially bathroom
The location was as described, very clean and Ruby was very good at being available, keeping me informed and quickly answering any question. For me, the location was perfect.
I stayed in Ruby's (her name is now showing up for this listing as Kim but I will refer to her as Ruby since that's the name she gave me) apartment for 4 nights with my husband and our 18 month old daughter. Ruby was excellent at responding to questions via airbnb or text message. She was out of the country for most of our trip but sent all the necessary information, such as retrieving the apartment key and accessing Wifi, several days before we arrived. We had no problems getting into the apartment in her absence. Here's a breakdown of our thoughts: Pros: - The location! You pay for being practically in the heart of Midtown when staying here. Easy access to any transit and only a few blocks from Times Square. If Midtown is where you want to be, this is a great spot. - The building itself was quiet, I didn't hear much noise from anyone else. Even the street noise was kept to a minimum. - Comfortable bed, very comfortable pillows. - Ruby provided us with a small portable crib for our daughter to sleep in. It was convenient to have this option but the play yard (a Sena mini) was quite small for her - at 24 lbs, she filled the entire thing and didn't get great sleeps, but that is no fault of Ruby's. Cons: - The building leaves something to be desired - it's old and outdated. Our key got stuck in the front door lock most times we tried to get inside. There is no elevator and we had a stroller with us so we did a lot of carrying up and down the stairs, but there is only one flight of stairs to contend with. - There are blankets for window coverings but they do not cover the entire length of the windows, so there was always light coming into the bedroom. - The heat is radiator heat, which I assume is common for New York. It made very loud clanging sounds when the heat came on and then a loud hissing sound while it was running. Fortunately it was mild while we were there so the heat didn't come on too often, but it was hard to tune out the noise when it did. - The drain in the bathtub doesn't work properly so you are constantly standing in water when taking a shower. The whole bathtub and shower wasn't particularly clean with several bottles of mostly used shampoo and body wash lining the tub. There were also used toothbrushes in the medicine cabinet. - There was someone's leftovers in a bowl in the fridge when we arrived, which I assume was because Ruby was out of town and didn't do a clean up before we arrived. It left us with a negative first impression when we saw that. - There was no coffee maker! Which is essential for parents of a toddler, but obviously it was easy to go...
No había tostadora.
Demasiado caro para lo que es, no lo recomendaríamos.

Ruby and family were wonderful guests! Very quiet and clean. They even stripped the beds and neatly folded the comforters. They were a pleasure to meet.
Ruby and her guest were great. They were nice, clean, responsible and left the apartment in a very good condition. I will welcome them back any time! I will definitely recommend them!
Ruby was a great guest! She was very friendly, clean and respectful of the property. She left my place in great condition and made it very easy for me to prepare for the next guest. I really appreciated that. I’d gladly host Ruby again and highly recommend others to do the same!
