This listing is exceptional for any travelers who are truly interested in cooking and food. We were able to use their kitchen to cook a couple meals and Silvia, their personal cook during the day, was kind enough to give us pointers and a spontaneous salsa verde lesson. The cafe that everyone speaks of where we can go for breakfast is a farm-to-table concept, which was such a pleasant surprise to us. We had several wonderful conversations with Monica and Giorgio and was able to enjoy a dinner at one of Monica's restaurants right before we left. This was our first time in Mexico City and thanks to the amazing experience we had staying with Fabio's family, we can't wait to return!
This was an amazing location and Fabio was very accommodating. The area, Colonio Roma, has top restaurants, and great art and history and culture. Fabio's place was a massive old style castle to some extent. Large, clean rooms in old style mexico city. There are several rooms on two floors and the common area is the kitchen, bathroom, etc. Exquisite and great staff. We went to Maximo Bistro and had an amazing dinner and Nudo Negro for dinner both nights. Unfortunate for us was our elementary Spanish, but we made the most of it. Fabio's place is in a great area for walking, exploring and getting around generally. Breakfast was included at this great little culinary school/cafe. We were two women, so we walked together and just like you would do in any major metropolitan city. We were able to explore multiple areas: Coyocan - Kahlo/Diego's home - Casa Azul; Centro Historico District - Zocola Square, and other great art sites. Overall, everytime i return, I end up staying for more time. Next time I need a week here and need to have a command of the language. You'll love Fabio's place. Everyone is great!
It is a truly wonderful location if you want to be amidst everything hip and happening in Mexico city. The building has a great vibe to it, it is beautifully decorated and everyone that I got in contact with via this connection(so the guys at delirio, abarrotes and the house owners) were wonderful!
I can highly recommend it.
After a bit of a mix up with picking up keys at a local deli I arrived at this beautifully tranquil house. The setting is perfect for a retreat from your hectic days navigating everything Mexico City has to offer. The room is spacious and the on suite bathroom had a giant bath with a good supply of hot running water to soak away the day. I didn't get to meet Fabio but did bump into various other house residents who were courteous and interesting. A great neighborhood too with plenty of laid back cafes and quirky eateries. All in all a great stay and I would recommend to anyone. Its also worth mentioning I travel with my young son who can be pretty inquisitive and lively. Read loud and touches everything. Hosts and staff were very understanding a patient so that was a massive plus. You can read more about mine and my sons Mexico City (email hidden) including some inside tips on Roma the area this beautiful home is located in.
This is one of the best Air B&B experience I have ever had. Fabio was a fantastic host and his family made sure I had a a brilliant stay. This was my first time in Mexico City and it could not have been better. I can't wait to return and stay here again.
The house is simply fantastic. It is is as beautiful as the photos show. The location is perfect, within walking distance of many attractions and most of the great restaurants in town. Stay here, you will be delighted you did.
Fabio and his family are terrific hosts! We had an amazing stay at their house and everyone was very kind and hospitable.
The house and room are beautiful, clean, and located on a very quiet yet convenient street, near to many great restaurants and cafes.
Everything was perfect, and we'd love to return someday! We highly recommend this place!
Stay in Fabio,s house for a week. The hose and the room we are nice and clean. The room we stay is on the ground floor with plenty of privacy. Fabio is very responsive and help us a lots when we move in and me out. Fabio's family are very nice too, I'm surprising they are interested in Chinese cultural and hv been to Tibet and stayed for some years. Tibet is a place which I wanna visit and In my top of wish list!!
The neighbourhoods are nice with many hip resturant a, cafe and shop. Especially the places we went for breakfast -Abarrotes and Delirio which operate by Fabio's family, as well as the dining resturant CasaVirginia.
It's easy to access to other part of Mexico City by metro bus and metro station is just few blocks away.
Mexico is a vibrant city with lot of culture and modern elements which I want to visit again and of course would love to stay in Fabio's house again!
The best! Great style and gracious hospitality! I would be DELIGHTED to return.
We were amazed by the house. It is decorated with mix of asian style and mordern aesthetic sense. We didn't really have the chance to meet fabio. But Giorgio and Monica are really nice. We had the most delicious breakfast in this house. As this is our last two days in Mexico, we spent the time very casually. We even tried to walk back from the central historica zone. And it only took us about 30mins to get there.
Lovely people. They were respectful and considerate.
Left everything very clean and came and left on time.
a real pleasure to host them.
Muy grato el tenerlos de visita en casa, saludos
Fabio was a wonderful guest! A seasoned traveler, he has many interesting stories and insight. Highly recommended! And a bonus: he really knows his chocolates, doughnuts, and mezcals. I had a great time hosting him and his lovely lady.
