We are very happy to accommodate you in our accommodation
Francesca's house is a great great deal! A lovely typical and retro house in the heart charming Sliema. And especially very large! Felt just like home! Ideally situated close to public transports, the beach, the supermarket, etc. made it easy to get around. It was also very well equipped whether in the kitchen or bathroom and has wifi.
Francesca was very quick to reply to all my requests via email. She even offered that her mother Mary come pick me up at the airport!
I would really recommend staying at Francesca's place, it was hard to leave! And made my Maltese experience all the better!
Francesca was incredibly responsive and very helpful as I worked to find a place to stay for a few nights in Malta. Her house is big! There is so much space! It is also very charming with beautiful tiled floors and feels very Maltese. The kitchen is well equipped and did I mention the amount of space?? Francesca provided clean towels & fully made beds in each room. It is perfectly located on a small, quiet street in between the shopping district of Sliema and the bay of St Julian's, both cities are an easy 10-15 min walk away. The neighbors will all say "Good Morning" to you as you step out each day and it feels lovely to be a part of the neighborhood. There is a mini mart right next door for any quick purchase you might need, (bottled water, toiletries, etc) and a larger supermarket, Towers Center about a 15 minute walk away. Francesca even provided shopping bags. There is no air conditioning in the house but leaving the windows open and making use of all of the fans Francesca provided helped to make it bearable for sleeping. I wouldn't plan on being home during the hottest part of the day though.
The one thing to consider is that there is little water pressure in the shower and it really is just a tub with a handheld shower attachment. I had no problems with it but if you need more of a shower stall or enclosed structure the tub won't suit you. All in all I really enjoyed staying in this house. Francesca was always quick to reply to messages and provided helpful advice. You can't beat the location and will be glad you booked here.
We had a delightful time staying at Francesca's. Although she was out of town, her parents picked us up at the airport, showed us around the house, gave us directions and their number in case of problems. We never needed to contact them but it was appreciated all the same.
The location is great, next door to a small grocery/baker and a few minutes walk to the sea, complete with swimming zone, restaurants and bars. A bit further along is St Julian’s proper. It's also less than a 10 minute walk to the Sliema shopping/waterfront area where one can catch the ferry over to Valetta or go on various cruises.
The kitchen/bathrooms were stocked with all the essentials and wi-fi was reliable. It's not the most modern of places, but very comfortable and roomy with Maltese balconies and plenty of fans to keep us cool. We'd stay here again, and would recommend to those wanting a more authentic experience away from the package holiday crowd. Many thanks to Francesca and her lovely parents!
Francesca is very kind, after my stay she took me to the airport. The apartment was clean and almost too big for me. I was vert comfortable. Location is central in Silema. You definitely feel in Malta when staying in this apartment, the unit is very authentic. I was very happy with my stay and would recommend it to anyone, especially for groups of friends or couples. Thank you for everything. A special thanks to Francesca's mother for giving me an orientation of the apartment. Best wishes to your family, and say hello to Malta:)
Firstly, I cannot speak of how helpful Francesca was from the initial contact, through booking the flat, my stay and me leaving. Whether correspondence was via this website, email or text I always received a quick response. Even from the fact that I got my times wrong on arrival I still received a message asking if everything was OK.
On getting there I had a full tour of the house and a quick check that everything worked, which it did as well as a demonstration of all the facilities. Everything that was needed was already stocked and supplied and all the beds made.
The house itself surprised me. I was happy with just a kitchen, bathroom and bed, but was pleasantly surprised to find three times more of this and an accessible roof that I could enjoy the sunshine.
House has everything nearby. Shops, bars, and the bay is only at the bottom of the hill. On exploring more of Silema, I would have to say this is the nicest part of the Island, but if you wanted a louder nightlife it is only a 10-15 minute walk.
Anyway, cannot speak highly of the accommodation and service and when I will be visiting Malta again I will be sure to speak to Francesca first.
