Beautiful home, beautiful view.
Mark's beautiful home provided the peace and serenity we were looking for. Nestled high above Mill Valley, it's like staying in a tree house, with views of unspoiled greenery from virtually every window. The kitchen and living room are bathed in beautiful light all day, and the cross breeze is very relaxing. It's close in location to several great eating destinations: The Pelican in Stinson Beach, and El Paseo in Mill Valley. There are hikes close by, and wine tasting was within 30 minutes of the front door. Mark was great to deal with, and I would love to return to his place in the future.
We arrived hearing chimes echoing in the wind and made our way into a beautiful home perched high above pristine coastal forest land. We found this to be a contemplative and spiritual place with a quiet feel, the focal point being a large deck offering jaw-dropping views. A nice feature is being able to use the kitchen. The private room is spacious with more incredible views of a tree covered mountain. Very close to world class hiking; one can spend hours watching hawks and owls. This is a great get-away space, more of a self-catered affair (bring supplies like coffee, coffee- maker, napkins and so on) than a pampered b&b experience, but if you prefer solitude and space to read, meditate and do your own thing, this is a great place. Parking is tricky if you have an SUV due to narrow, winding streets and tight driveway, but if you allow extra time and are able to walk from a space lower down the road, you'll be fine.
Mark's house was the perfect retreat away from the city but yet so close! Just a 15 min drive from Golden Gate bridge to feel like in a warm, quiet and peaceful environment surrounded by hills. The house is an invitation to relax, cook some food and be cozy on the deck or by the fireplace.
One can access multiple hiking trails leading to the coast and the ocean just a 10min walk from the house
Mark was super responsive and friendly and provided us with extra beddings so the 7 of us were very comfortable...
I am already looking for excuses for another nice getaway in Mark's house up in Muir Woods!
Mark's home is located (email hidden) lush magically quiet area. We loved our stay in this exquisite zen palace. Mark is a wonderful loving and radiant host. We will be back.
Mark's place was indeed beautiful and tranquil. Quiet since it is perched high in the mountains and zen-like in it's peacefulness thanks to the decor and the host's demeanor. It was the best thing I could hope for after a busy day. The view out the window was phenomenal. I was glad I arrived in a small car, since parking is roadside on a narrow road. I hope to visit again soon.
Mark is a treasure. He's a lovely man, nice energy, polite, clean. He was comfortable here and is welcome back any time!
Excellent guest - welcome back anytime! He was great with communicating and left the place in great condition and Sterling (my cat) approves!
