I am a retired single man from Melbourne Australia, ( but still great friends with my ex wife ) and live on The Mornington Peninsula, ( look it up, it's delightful ) in Victoria. I travel extensively throughout Australia in a FWD vehicle and off road van, enjoying fishing, sightseeing and the vast emptiness. When at home I enjoy golf and just living in a beautiful part of the world
I recently (2013) went to the UK and Europe for several months ( with a couple of friends ), really enjoyed myself and am returning ( June, July, August 2015 ) with my ex wife ( long, long story ) and perhaps another friend or two. We plan to do London, Paris, The Cotswolds, Cornwall and Scotland ( for The Open at St Andrews ), perhaps enjoying a wee dram along the way.
It has taken me a lifetime to finally travel overseas and now having done so once I am now addicted to the history and architecture of the UK and Europe, both in the cities and rural areas. As you can imagine these places are about as different as you can get to the vast red emptiness of the Australian outback, which is magnetic in it's own way.
No Airbnb out there !!!
Embracing the Airbnb concept allows me to travel overseas ( on a somewhat restricted budget ) and gives far better value for money, together with the huge bonus of meeting the real locals, I met some delightful, interesting people last year, it seems Airbnb brings like minded people together.
I look forward to meeting you and ( as inevitably happens in this Airbnb world ) swapping stories.
