I am a waitress at a popular center city Philadelphia restaurant where I also attend graduate school full time. I am pursuing a masters degree in Public History with the hopes of one day working in an archival setting. I love to travel and have lived in Michigan as well as Washington D.C. I was born and raised in Philadelphia where I currently reside.
When I travel I love to see everything. Being that I am in school studying history I like to explore museums, national parks, anything that helps me understand history. I enjoy seeing how other museums present history; the techniques they use to connect to varying groups of people. It not only makes me a better historian but helps me understand how I will one day use these techniques in my field. Therefore I make it a point to check out these sites in each city I visit.
Another thing that I absolutely love to do in new cities is meet people. I love talking to locals so I make it a point to find bars and restaurants that are off the beaten path. If someone calls a bar "divey"or "a hole in the wall", that's probably right where I'm headed!
Some of my favorite travel destinations in the United States have been Seattle, New Orleans, and St. Louis.
