The flat was located in a really nice area, in my opinion if you want to experience Paris as the locals do, this is the best area to fully live the french lifestyle. And we could easily visit everything by foot. Lots of great restaurants, cafe's, bakeries, great icecream shop across the street, really nice vibrant area. The flat itself was nice and totally fulfilled our expectation. Nilas was a nice host, everything worked out well.
Tamara's apartment is really cute and sweet and in an amazing location, we were quite comfortable there and I would recommend it to others. I do have to add though that if you are looking for a place with a lot of natural light this may not be the apartment for you as it is on the first floor and a little dark, other than that it was great. Tamara is also a good host and quick to answer any questions we had.
I wish I can post photos of the flat’s toilet bowl – it would show you a very important thing to consider whether to book it or not. I booked 4 nights but only used it for the first night. Definitely the most disturbing feeling I had to sleep through ever. The morning you wake up is just quite a horror to see and sit in the toilet. So we decided to just cancel the rest of our stay after the first night. We asked Tamara if we can get a refund of the 2 days we have paid but we were led to believe that she’s going to refund us some while we were there. But on the last night we were in Paris, she told us that she won’t refund us any.
Quiet Studio in Le Marais, Paris – this part is true, it is very quiet. The flat it self is fine, old but looks in order. The place is a bit styled but smells like molds, like an old cabinet that has been closed and not dusted off. AND the worst part is the toilet bowl. Have you ever seen a toilet bowl that’s splashed with poop that haven’t been flushed for a long time? See this link for the photo of it:

I will host this photo as long as possible but in the future the link won’t work, please give me a shout and I can email it to you.
Tamara was out of town at the time we were there. But Charlie, Tamara’s boyfriend says that the toilet is absolutely clean (like he’s the one who cleaned it but I doubt if he had ever used and sat in it) and the cause of this horrible stain is Paris water system. But since the first day we’ve been to dozens of toilets of small and old restaurants all over Paris but have never seen as gross looking stain. All the toilet bol we've used are visually clean and pleasant looking.
If only Tamara has written a small note to warn about the toilet (as pictures of the toilet would definitely blow any chance of flat being rented), I won’t think of booking it at all.
To at least enjoy Paris despite the first night horror, I spent more money by getting another small hotel that only costs about 70 Euros per night nearby because it is such a torture to sleep breathing dust and mold in and wake up and pee in a very disturbing toilet bowl.
Definitely zero value for the €403 I paid for it. In fact, emotionally, I don’t think I can recover from what I had to endure.
Great Central Location ! We spent our new year eve in Paris and we enjoyed the stay in this cozy apartment. The bed was comfortable and apartment is well equipped. We cooked some simple breakfast before we leave the apartment. The bakery smelt really nice every morning, it made our day! Tamara is nice and helpful ! We would rent her place again if we stay in Paris again :)
This apartment is in a wonderful location in Paris, within walking distance of many of the major tourist sites. I walked to Notre Dame, Champs Elysee, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, etc. Also, the neighbourhood was absolutely lovely, with lots of great restaurants and shops! Because most of the buildings in Paris are old (but charming), they show some 'wear & tear' of the years, and this apartment is no exception, but that is to be expected. The host was VERY good at communicating and made access to the apartment easy. I was assured that all towels and bed sheets were washed just before I arrived. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment quiet, so I (gratefully) slept soundly. And yes, the smell of fresh baking in the morning, was lovely. I appreciated being able to enjoy the city, then come back to a safe and convenient location.
perfect location, at the back of the house, so no street sounds, we slept soundly. everything we needed was there. thanks tamara.
Excellent Location, Great communication. We had a lovely stay in the Marais. The apartment was just as described and the bread smell from the bakery downstairs woke us up every morning. We would love to stay here again on our next trip to Paris.
The apartment is located perfectly! In the middle of Le Marais, opposite of the best ice cream shop in paris and also the metro line 1 goes to all the good spots!
But the apartment is very dark, and also it was very quite dirty and we washed the bedsheets and everything because we werent shure if it was really clean! the dishes were sticky and it wasnt cleanded very well! Also nearly all the lightbulbs didnt work anymore, so its very dark inside! another good thing is that every morning you wake up with the smell of croissants from the bakery downstairs!
So if you arent staying a lot in the apartment its perfect but except for that its not very cosy.
If you're looking for a quirky, cosy flat in a great location, then this is definitely the flat for you. The flat itself is situated above a lovely bakery and is on one of the nicest streets in Paris. The street is filled with amazing cafe's and small boutiques and is opposite a great wine bar/shop! The flat is small but so cosy and has everything you need. We absolutely loved the relaxed atmosphere that Tamara's flat offered and felt so at home when we weren't wondering the beautiful surroundings. The whole process was so easy and It was great to know someone was there if we had any questions or needs. I would highly recommend this flat to anyone!
Very comfortable apartment, great location!! Tamara and Charlie made finding the place and getting settled a breeze. I would book this place again in a heartbeat!
Our guests, Lucy and Charles, were very nice young couple, decent and friendly, it was easy to communicate with them and also easy to accomodate them. They left our place clean and tidy. I can definitely recomand them to the other hosts.
I highly recommend this apartment, it's in a wonderful area right in the middle of the Marais. The apartment is very clean and well decorated and you have the constant smell of croisants from the bakery below.
