Andreas was very accommodating and responded promptly to all our inquiries and issues.
The house itself is spacious and easily accommodated our large party of 8. There's games, maps, and movies to pass the time in the evening and plan activities during the day. All around great experience!
My friends and I had a great time at Andrea's house. The house was as described. We were provided all the information ahead of the trip and we were taken care by Bruno who also has a great pizzeria nearby! Thank you!
What a fantastic week we had in Andrea's house!! The house is very comfortable and had everything for our familystay with Christmas.
The area was beautiful and skiing in Cortina was great (although there was not a lot of snow). We prepared the turkey at Christmas eve and suddenly the light felt out. Be aware that you don't use the dishwasher and oven at the same time. The neighbors were very kind to help us at that moment.
Venas is a cute little village with one church, one pizzeria and one small supermarket. The house is situated a bit up the hill and not at the mainroad with the traffic. Very quiet!
We would definitely come back again!! Thanks Andrea for all your clear communication.
We had a great stay at Andrea's house. It had everything we needed. I really recommend it if you are travelling with children.
We really enjoyed our stay in the the Dolomites during the summer holidays and would come again to Venas Di Cadore.
While preparing the travel, Andrea was very prompt in answering our questions and well organised in everything else. Among others, we received a little booklet about what to expect in the house and another on things to do in the immediate environment which was really helpful in preparing our stay. Once arrived we were welcomed by a local representative whom set us up quite easily and overall the process went smoothly. As far as preparations concerns, there was a large collection of detailed maps available which helped in preparing some hiking trips.
The house itself was quite spacious and the pictures on the AirNB web-site are really representative for what the house had to offer. A special note for the espresso coffee machine, which really brought us into an italian atmosphere. The basement with the laundry machine was quite important for us as it allowed us to save some space in our luggage ! Venas itself was a little cosy village with a small grocery store within walking distance which offered the basics you needed (i.e. bread, vegetables and of course fresh local cheese !). However, Venas itself is well connected with nearby villages; we especially appreciated Pieve (with a walk around the Lago Di Cadore) and obviously Cortina D'Ampezzo (a little snobish to my personal taste but nevertheless a major touristic landmark in the region). One of the highlights of our stay was a trip to the Passo Cibiana pass followed by a hike to the Monte Rite with a breathtaking view over the two main valleys around Venas.
I would definitely recommend this house for a stay of a large family like ours (two adults and three teenager kids).
Fantastic Christmas experience!! We were a family of 4 generations with two 80-year old great-grandparents, we as grandparents, our grown kids and a 6-month of baby. We had a blast, even though the power went out due to a major snow-storm. Thank goodness there was a gas stove in the kitchen which kept us warm with hot beverages and food.
The house is very well stocked from fondue pot, to BBQ, to electric mixer, etc. Everything felt new, from the floors to the furniture in the bedrooms. Nice big bathrooms with plenty of hot water. Cute tiny town of Venas, close to other charming villages and the resort of Cortina close by as well.
Andrea and his on-site caretaker were both very attentive and answered all questions in a timely manner.
We can't wait to come back; next time in the summer for great bicycling thru the Dolomites!
It is a very nice house and Andrea is a very nice person who answers always quickly! Many things are there (hiking maps, books, games, kitchen stuff,...).
The view from this house is simply breathtaking. The pictures don't do enough justice for how good this place is. Its well equipped with almost anything you need in the house. Had a great stay!
Everything was perfect, Andrea is super nice and in the house we found whatever we needed for our stay (from the BBQ to the maps to plan our bike rides)
we loved Venas, because we were actually in search for a calm and tranquil place.
Last but not least,
Venas is very well connected with Cortina with a fantastic bike path that lets you avoid the traffic on the main road, so the house is a perfect starting point for bike rides to passes like Giau or Falzarego or the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
Hope to come back one day ;-)
A Respectful professional person, clean and tidy. Though his stay was very short (overnight transit) he communicated clearly & left the room same as he found it. We will surely host him again in the future hopefully for a longer stay.
Ospite cordiale e corretto consigliabile

Andrea was a great guest, has all recomendations from me! And hope to see him another time
perfect! Thank you
Ottimo ospite!
Andrea was a great and respectful guest, I had a short but interesting conversation with him! Welcome back anytime or we might see again on Debora's workshops :)
I have known Andrea - as a teacher, traveller, friend, and cook :), for many years! Whatever he is up to at any moment, he is fun to be around (yes, even teaching math!) yet considerate and gentle, and you can always count on an interesting conversation!
He also stayed over at my place in Madrid for a week a few years back, and I could not possibly have a complaint :), he cooked some awesome italian food, and let himself be completely licked to death by my puppy...I'll see you sometime in Vienna!
Andrea is a 100% world citizen - open minded & speaking several languages - I guess only when the discussion comes to food he is very Italian;) - he knows to be a guest as well as being a host. I had the chance to stay several times at his beautiful and spacious house in the Dolomites - one of the most beautiful alpine areas in Europe. Would love to go back sometime!
Andrea is a very friendly, seasoned globe-trotter. He has lived in a few countries and traveled extensively around the World, always leaving a positive impression on friends and new contacts around him. He's a fun, engaging, and stimulating person, always open to new ideas.
