Koko was such a sweet and generous host! She picked us up at Nosara airport and agreed to rent us her Jeep as well for the week. But we didn't realize it was a stick shift and neither of us has ever driven one! Koko didn't flinch. She spent the afternoon with us and taught my girlfriend how to drive it! In the end, we did well with the Jeep and we really needed it. The house is pretty isolated. Not really walking distance from anything. It is also pretty bare bones. There is no TV, Internet, air conditioning or hot water and the beds and pillows are not exactly luxury comfort. That said, we were really happy jn the house. It was peaceful and turned out to be a good thing that there was no internet! We could really unplug and we spent hours reading on the porch and laying in the hammock. Nosara, Playa Guiones, and the surrounding area is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Costa Rica, if not the world. So this was a lovely, affordable way to spend time there and Koko could not be a sweeter or nicer person.
Great family, we enjoyed having them as our guests!
Very friendly people!
