We love travel.
A few years back, Ian and I took a year-long trip that saw us bus around Australia and then continent jump around the world visiting friends and family. We used airbnb when we didn't have friends to stay with - it was a great experience as people are so accommodating and lovely.
I moved to Melbourne 13 years ago from Edinburgh. I'm an online communications coordinator who has worked for Lonely Planet, the Australian Conservation Foundation, and a few health not-for-profits. Ian is from Melbourne and is a local musician, aged carer and part-time student of writing and editing.
We both love playing and watching sport - cycling, soccer, volleyball, football, tennis. But we mostly enjoy eating out and going to the cinema or gigs.
Organic and locally produced food is a central part of our life and makes us very happy. We have three chickens, a cat, puppy, and a veggie garden. When we're home, we like to cook and settle down to an episode of whatever is current - Doctor Who at the moment.
I think a good motto is to learn from your mistakes. And don't be afraid to make them!
