We had a great experience living in Marios apartment. The apartment that we were supposed to live in had to undergo construction and therefore Mario offered us one of the other apartments. That was so great and the apartment was more like a house than an apartment.
Mario's janitor Julio was great and helped us a lot. We felt very much at home:).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mario's apartment. It is very secure and located right on the main bus route. After our stay was completed and we were on the road in a rental car, we were robbed of our money, credit cards and passports. Luckily I still had my phone and Mario's number. He let us come back and stay in his apartment for 3 more days while we made police reports, cancelled credit cards and got emergency passports. Mario and his handyman, Julio went out of their way to help us after that incident, and I'm not sure what we would have done if not for their kindness.
The apartment itself provided everything we needed. When our microwave broke, Mario brought a new one the next day.
We made several friends with the owners of nearby stores and restaurants who were very welcoming and friendly.
The apartment was located right next to a small grocery and just down the street from two good restaurants. It was very secure with a locked entry way. The apartment was comfortable and quiet. Mario made us feel very welcome and helped us secure a taxi for 5:00am the day we left; it picked us up at our front door.
I felt that Mario was very concerned with our well-being. He met us when we came in relatively late in the evening and provided us with helpful information when we had questions.
We would absolutely stay at Mario's again.
