Young at heart 65 yr old. likes to meet people and make their stay happy.
The journey in Kalamata's area was just fine in this yurt, at Diane's place. She is a very helpful and kind person.
The place is really quiet and has a nice sea view.
We, a young couple, stayed a couple of days at Dianes Yurt. Diane is a very very nice and very polite lady which has a astonishing amount of tipps, places, beaches and must-sees all around peleponnes. We felt like home all the time because of the wonderful atmosphere Diane has created there.
The Yurt is extremly comfortable and romantic. The View from Dianes place amazing! The bathroom in the shed is also very convenient.
We had a wonderful time with Diane at her Yurt and we can recommend the place to anyone with no doubts. We would always go again to visit Diane and her charming Mongolian Yurts and already miss her!
Thank you again for these unforgettable days! Ingrid&Manuel
An amazing place to stay, with stunning views over the bay. Diane is a great host and very friendly. The yurts are a lovely experience. Shame we could only stay for one night - hope to come back one day!
Diane 's place is unusual , very casual, she is a friendly host. Goes a long way to help you and make your stay a positive experience. The Yurt is spacious, comfortable, wifi is working well, view is amazing, the garden is interesting and all over we loved it. The village near by has everything you need.
Sorry, I wasn't able to visit that property at the booked period.
What a wonderful place to stay! We spend there 4 nights. The yurt was cosy, the terrace and the view were perfect! Diane was so helpful (giving us informations about wonderful nontouristic places around) and nice - we liked her very much.
An absolutely wonderful place to stay with a fantastic host! Lots of peace and quiet, an incredible view and a very welcoming host in Di. The fact that pretty much the entire place runs off solar power makes the whole experience even more rewarding. Di offers the perfect mix of friendly advice while giving you privacy to relax and unwind. Make sure you go to Di's favourite taverna in the village, which has delicious food at very reasonable prices, and if you're in Kalamata make sure to pay a visit to the Spinos coffee shop for their beautiful espressos. If you're renting a car, get a small or medium-sized car - we were upgraded to a large car at the airport, but the roads are windy and occasionally narrow so it felt a bit like driving a tank!
Diane is a wonderful British lady who made me feel very welcome in her Greek paradise!
The Yurt sleeps great, the view over the sea is amazing and the endless amount of olive trees is like being in a zen garden. I hope to return one day!
How to describe Dianne's incredible yurt....it is set on top of a mountain overlooking the sea and feels like a magical paradise. It's very hard not to relax in Dianne's stunning garden, listening to the natural sounds around you. The yurt is like nothing you've ever stayed in, and even in March, though it's chilly at night we didn't need to use the fire we were offered. Dianne is such a fantastic host, we enjoyed spending time with her. She has a wealth of local knowledge and is great to talk to. We were certainly glad we went to the local restaurant she recommended which is a 5 minute walk away and is the friendliest place with delicious, melt in your mouth food at a ridiculously low cost. Everything you eat was grown/produced on the mountain. We feel so privelage to have been able to stay here and it is such a good price, especially when we were surprised by breakfast in the morning which consisted of Di's homemade bread, jams and marmalade. If you want night life it's not a very lively village but if you want to relax in a beautiful setting, stay in a unique bedroom, drink and eat very cheaply and meet some very friendly people then we highly recommend it! Our two nights here were the highlight of our holiday! Thank you!
Awesome place, perfect host. It´s a pity that we cannot stay more then one night...
We have known Diane for several years and stayed with her many times. She is a really friendly person who always goes out of her way to make visitors feel welcome and special.
And her home is magical - a truly unique place that is comfortable and relaxing AND ecologically sound. If you have never slept in a place where you can see the moon and stars from your bed (without light pollution ruining the effect) but still be indoors you should go and stay in her yurt. You definitely won't regret or forget your experience.
