Patika was as I hoped it would be: rustic, real, peaceful. The food was sublime, wonderful, mostly vegetarian feasts prepared by Erol and friends. Birdsong, yoga, the sea below and a feeling of village life. Erol was a fine host, involving you, if you want to be, in the rounds of life on the property. The beach below is superb, the trails through the pine forest gentle and promising. The room was very comfortable and clean and I didn't close my door the whole time. My special time in Turkey I think. And if you're lucky you'll see Erol do his yoga practise. His morning classes (optional) were great and sensitive to individual ability.
I'm very glad to have found this beautiful spot. It even exceeded our (high) expectations. There is a really nice energy: very peaceful, quiet, relaxing, positive, kind, beautiful... We will especially cherish our breakfast with a marvelous sea sight and of course the amazing sunsets. Our two kids as well loved to be there. Gülümser and her guests were very kind, inspiring and helpful. We will come back!
My stay here was wonderful. Gulumser and Eroll (her son) were very courteous in making sure I had everything I needed. The place was quiet, surrounded by trees and the sounds of birds, with a view of the sea. My flat had a nice kitchen in it, and was more than spacious. Only a 15minute walk to the beach. One of the highlights was Eroll's yoga classes. I have had many teachers around the world, and I found Eroll really exceptional. It has a great vibe this place. I had my own kitchen but I should mention I had a few meals with them (they cook breaky, lunch and dinner everyday - your option to eat with them) and they were so delicious, healthy fresh, super yummy food. I feel so lucky to have been able to stay here. And I hope to come back in the future.
We had a wonderful holiday, Gülümser and her son made us feel so welcome. The place was just as described and exceeded our expectations. It is remote, with beautiful walks on the Lycian way; yoga practise overlooking the sea, and stunning surroundings of organic fruit trees and flowering shrubs. A peaceful, friendly, relaxing break. Remember to take cash - no ATM's nearby.
Staying at Patika was a complete experience. My expectations were exceeded, indeed. It was so peaceful and enchanting and view was spectacular. Erol lent himself to any need I had. Fom yoga teaching to health advice he was a great host. Everyone there partakes in something; whether it's grape picking or cooking a meal, you feel like you are contributing to your health and everyone else's. I highly recommend you escape the pollution of everyday life and go to PaTiKa. Go! -E
We had a wonderful time with Gülümser and her son Erol. The room was beautifully and very clean. The garden is attractive and the atmosphere is very serene. It's just a short walk to the aktas beach. I highly recommend the place.
I had a lovely relaxing stay at Patika with Gulumsers son Errol.
Very clean and quiet and they were all very helpful.
However as stated on the website I was expecting my own kitchen which is not the case. The room is with ensuite only and there is a kitchen used for retreat meals and you are welcome to join them for meals for an extra fee/donation. After a couple of days of asking they let me use a kitchen in their apartment i think as I wanted to be independent.
Also if you are doing your own cooking make sure you stock up in fethiye or oludeniz as there is not much to buy in faralya.
Still very good value for money and I would definitely go back again!
