Everything about the listing was great. It was close to downtown, but tucked away in an area that was quiet and peaceful. Jon was friendly and accommodating, with quick replies. We had a great stay, with no problems at all.
My boyfriend and I along with our two dogs really enjoyed staying in the hideaway. The hiking trail was steps from the door and was absolutely perfect for the dogs. The A/C unit was amazing and definitely kept us cool. The carport was also an added perk and really helped fight the heat!
Jon was always available and made us feel welcome. We stayed for 10 days and gave us clean towels whenever we needed along with sheets!
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would love to stay again!
Jon was a great host. Casita is charming! Thanks !
This place is absolutely dreamy. I highly recommend staying in this little, hidden house if you find yourself in Palm Springs. It's close enough to town to go out and explore, but you would never know with the backyard this house has! Bring your hiking boots. It's gorgeous.
Jon's home is truly a gem! The space is very welcoming and the grounds are totally serene. Yet, you are only a few minutes down the road from downtown Palm Springs!
Great communications with Jon, cozy, clean, convenient but just a tad away from hustle & bustle of the main drag. Great hiking right outside your door, quiet neighborhood, short ride from airport & highways. Would/will book again... Cheers David & Kirsten....
What a cozy, sweet and special little gem! I can't imagine a better place to land after a laborious and loooong drive out from Los Angeles. Jon's casita is really close to downtown Palm Springs, but tucked away just enough to feel like you're really "away" and surrounded by nature.
The space is immaculate. The lovely shower (with GREAT water pressure) is especially nice -- the photos don't do it justice -- and the bedsheets couldn't have been softer and more inviting. While it was too hot (115 degrees) to relax on the beautiful patio this past trip, I most certainly look forward to doing so on a future stay!
This place is AWESOME! 100000% recommend staying here. The location is great, it's beautiful inside and right next to one of the coolest looking mountains I've ever seen.
We had a great time. The neighborhood was great. It was a cute little place next to wildlife and peace and quiet. It was a nice retreat. Our hosts were great. We'll definitely return.
This was our first time booking an airbnb, but Jon made it a smooth and easy experience. From our first communication, Jon was thorough and descriptive. We knew how to get there, what to expect, where the keys could be found, and things to do in the area. Although we did not need to call him, we had his number and he told us to call if we needed anything. We did not. We were quite comfortable.
It's a sweet, cozy spot which we easily found thanks to Jon's directions. Tucked in a quiet neighborhood, and located at the bottom of a ravine as described, my fiancé and I enjoyed sitting on the tranquil deck watching the birds (many beautiful humming birds) and listening to the sounds of nature. It was peaceful and quaint...much different from what we're used to in Los Angeles.
We also took a wonderful hike up into the hills, as suggested by Jon, which was a fun and quiet experience. The room was just as described. Small room, with a full, newly remodeled bath, easy-to-use wifi, television, microwave, etc... It was charming and lovely, and I'd stay there again in a minute.
We didn't use the A/C the first night as it was a beautiful cool evening and the window and ceiling fan made the room perfect. The second night we used the A/C but it cooled quickly and made us quite comfortable.
If I were to point out one thing, the bathroom is an extension of the bedroom and has no door. While my fiancé and I are very comfortable with each other, sometimes you need just a little privacy. A curtain or folding screen might be nice. But when we needed those private moments, we just went out to the beautiful deck.
Although this place is hushed and private, downtown Palm Springs is just minutes away. This little Casita is conveniently located with Palm Springs, Cathedral City, and Ranch Mirage all just a short drive.
I would have loved to stay another night or two, but we had to get back for work. Hope to return again soon.
Jon was a great guest. Very easy to host! I hope he comes back soon!!
