Fantastic! Wonderful apartment in a picturesque swiss chalet. You look out your window directly at the Eiger. Great location. 10 minute walk to the center of Grindelwald. 200m to train station for Kleine Scheidegg. Wi-Fi, television, and washer and dyer available. Ursula and her husband are excellent hosts. Could not have been better!
I had best stay at her home for 2 weeks swiss journey.
New and clean home, idealitic location, fantastic view.
She is very kind and quiet.
You will have more valuable expeirence than how much you pay
Our family of four stayed in this beautiful traditional house and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was as described, spacious, clean and well equipped, with beautiful views and surroundings that one can only truly enjoy whilst staying there. Having coffees / drinks outside is simple joy with the superb views and nature all round. Ursula and Hans are warm and friendly. We were provided with rides from/to train stations that facilitated our arrival and departure. Overall, a fine place to stay for a wonderful holiday experience in Grindewald!
We had a wonderful time in Grindelwald at Ursula's place, despite the fact that it rained the whole time. The house is well equipped and Ursula is a great host. She picked us up from the main station, as we were coming in too late to go the grund station. The house is an easy walk up to the main part of Grindelwald, or a quick bus ride. Thank you so much for a great place to stay,
We stayed at the apartment for 5 nights. When we arrived Grindelwald train station, Ursula's husband pick us up to the house. We really appreciated it. Besides, she gave us free bus ticket so that we could go to the town more convenient. The house is comfortable, with a big space for us. The views outside is wonderful. We recommend people have a relax trip here.
We had a great stay. Ursula came to pick us up at the Grindelwald station and later dropped us at the end of our stay as well. When we entered the house, there was orange juice kept for us along with assorted chocolates. The place is neat and clean and well maintained. She explained all the bus routes and other tips and tricks to get by. The house is just amazing and exactly like the photos.
We have already recommended this place to our friends who are coming in a few months from now.
Ursula's chalet apartment in Grindelwald, is withiut any doubt, the best AirBnb place we've stayed in! It really made us feel at home with the perfect swiss ambiance!
Look out your bedroom and living room window and you'll be amazed by the view of the Eiger mountainscape along with other chalets that would make you feel that you're in a dream!
The bathroom towels were professionally maintained and were folded as if kept by a hotel crew. Plus good points for that!
Ursula and her husband, Hans, were very hospitable and did their best to make us feel welcome and at home. A good touch to the apartment as well are the free Toblerone chocolates! Those were really appreciated!
Overall, we'd rate this a 10/10!
It was a beautiful place.
We could see the Eiger in the living room and bed room,
and I liked interior.
Ursula and her husband are very friendly.
I'll miss Switzerland and both of you.
Ursula and her husband are absolutely lovely. Her apartment in reality is really a small house. It is SOOO CUTE! 200 years old apparently, and full of amazing character. I felt like we had stepped back in time, to a visit Grandma's house, but with all the modern conveniences. I cannot give high enough praise to this little cottage – I just loved it!
The house is a lot bigger than what the photos suggest. Two decent sized bedrooms, with separate lounge, kitchen/dining room, another sitting area in the sleep out/enclosed veranda, and also an outside sitting area. My family of 4 (with two large teenagers) had plenty of room to spread out. The bathroom looks like it has been recently renovated – very nice, great shower and plenty of hot water. The laundry is a separate room down the side of the house, with a full sized washing machine and dryer. The lounge has a digital TV with USB port. The Wi-Fi works best at the bathroom end of the house. The kitchen has a full sized oven and hotplates, with every item of cooking equipment you need to cook a family meal – even a fondue set. One unique feature that I really loved is that there is no coffee mugs. Cups and saucers only – just like at Grandma’s house.
The ceilings are low, but they only add to the character. My son who is 6 foot 4 inches, had to duck in doorways and his head touched the ceiling when he stood up really tall, but it didn’t matter AT ALL! Everything else was just perfect and it added to the experience of living in something so unique.
By far the best feature of the house is the amazing views of the mountains from every window. You are right in amongst them.
The centre of Grindelwald is only about a 15 minute walk uphill (only the first section from the house is steep – the rest of the walk is a gentle incline). Grund station (for trains up to the Yungfrau) is only a 3 minute walk downhill.
My family spent a week in the cottage, and will remember our experience as exceptional. 12 stars! Ursula even got up especially on our last morning to take us to the train station at 6am. Thankyou so much for everything Ursula.
Definitely, definitely, DEFINATELY highly recommend!
