Nina's place was absolutely perfect for us, in a great location close to both the city centre and our favourite beach.
The apartment was modern and very clean, with everything we needed - and even a bowl of sweet figs and grapes and an ice cold beverage waiting for us on arrival!
The neighbourhood was very quiet and green, with a nice bakery around the corner. It was an easy walk into town using the boatman which leaves you on the quay where most ferries leave for the many islands.
Nina and Roman were very helpful and welcoming. We would definitely recommend their place to anyone looking for a relaxed stay in lovely Zadar!
We really enjoyed our stay at Nina's flat. Her husband Roman was very accommodating, giving us some fresh figs and watermelon from the garden as a welcome gift. Roman also gave us a lift into the old town after we arrived and showed us a good ice-cream parlour. The flat is in very good condition and looks exactly like the pictures. The air conditioning is handy and it was nice to be able to sit outside for breakfast. We especially liked the quiet location between the old town and the beaches of Borik. From the flat it was easy to catch a bus in both directions or walk 15 minutes to the Barkajoli, (the row-boat taxi men). You can also hire bikes from Nina and Roman which is useful. We highly recommend Nina’s flat for a visit to Zadar.
We spent five days in Nina's apartment and had a wonderful time. She and her husband Roman have been very helpful and welcoming.
I wanted to stay at a place close both to the beaches and to the old town of Zadar and our choice of apartment was excellent: there is a 20 minute walk to Borik beach and a little longer to the city.
I truly recommend this apartment, and we will also come back.
The appartment was very nice with an appreciable terrace. The hosts were very kind and very welcoming. It is a bit far away from Zadar centre by walking (20 min) but the area is really nice and quiet, next to beaches.
Thank you for the figs ☺!
Nina and Roman were excellent hosts. Roman came very early to meet me off the ferry from Ancona which I didn't expect at all, but was very thankful for. They shared coffee and a chat on several occasions for which I was very grateful.
The apartment is just like in the photos, open, spacious, airy very clean, and 2 min walk through a green space to the waters edge. The little terrace off the flat is a pleasant place to enjoy quiet drinks or meals outdoors and a good space to dry your washing.
Roman has bicycles ( brand-new) to rent for much less than in town, and it's a perfect cycle ride anywhere from their place. Along the waters edge day or night is just so picturesque. It's less than 5 min to several good swimming areas and about 10-15 min cycle to the old town.
100 m away there is a bakery open early- like 7?, and also a little general store selling the freshest vegetables and most other things you might need if u didn't have time to get to a bigger supermarket. If you want to sit and have coffee, a 5min cycle will get you to several places for your morning caffeine fix.
Basically, I would definitely recommend a stay here. Roman and Nina couldn't be nicer hosts!!
We had a wonderful time in Zadar. We enjoyed staying in this appartment, so close to the sea and so close to the old part of town. Nina and Roman were fine hosts who exlained and showed us around. In the next future we will be back in Zadar and preferably also in this appartment.
Nina and her husband Roman were wonderful hosts. Our bus from Split broke down , and there was a 1.5 hour wait for roman, as he offered to pick us up from the bus station in town. They showed us supermarkets, how to get into and out of town. Lent us a clothes line for washing. And we're wonderful hosts. The property is a 2.5 km walk from the main town or a short bus trip in.
It is a great opportunity for everyone to meet Ninoslava's family, stay in their home- designed by Nina's husband, an architect who would introduce you to the best of the region's heritage, culture, tradition...
Nina may recommend to you, apart from the quality estates of Zadar's area, the best food and wine too. She is also artistic; as well as their children are.
May you enjoy a unique stay with thise friendly people,
