Great place, well situated, amazing sea view. The room is clean, well equiped ! Very pleasant holiday :-)
This listing is more like a hotel so the experience did not feel personal like they often do on Airbnb. With that being said, the hotel service was great and the staff was very friendly. They let us store our bag free of charge while we went on a hike. There is also a cool bar and restaurant at the base of the hotel that stays open late. Our stay was very comfortable. Room was clean and the sheets were nice. The breakfast was incredible (food, view, everything).
We had a superb experience! The breakfasts on the clifftop deck overlooking the sea were most memorable. We will never forget the path among ancient buildings to our modern room where the common area on our level included a hawk's nest seat with a sweeping vista of sea and land.
Arriving in Vernazza after a 14 hour train adventure from Avignon, France, my new wife and I were tired and longing for sleep got off the train walked down the hill to check in We were greeted very (email hidden) then escorted to our room. Our large luggage in hand we followed the lady up a few stairs then a few more followed by about 100 more and we arrived at our room! Panting for air trying to put on a brave face and not show the fact we have never taken so many stairs carrying 40lbs of luggage, we thanked her and walked into our room. Small, cozy, with a large bed, small sink, dresser and two end tables, we both were ready to hit the bed and sleep, we then decided to see what was behind the doors leading to the balcony. We opened the doors and forgot about the 14 hour train ride, forgot how out of shape we were, 123 steps felt like a year ago, the view from our room was breathtaking to say the least. Crystal clear, emerald green water ran up to steep rocky hills on both sides of the building, creating a sense that you had your own little ocean front terrace on the top of a mountain. We got our second wind and toured the town, great place, with small bars, restaurants and shops and early in the morning or after 6 pm you feel like a local, walk into bars get a drink or shop at the local shop for some meat and cheese for a picnic on the trails leading to another town. To be warned from 10am to 5pm the place gets swamped with people from cruise ships and trains, but the morning and sunset is where Vernazza is best. The rooms are certainly not sound proof and if you don't like sharing a bathroom with other guest, pay up for a private bathroom, the room was clean and just what you need when you are in such a beautiful place such as Vernazza. Breakfast was great, outside over looking the sea, wine tasting at night at the same terrace was even better. In our opinion this place is a great location with one of the best views you will find.
Lovely place, very clean, comfortable room. Super sweet place. Friendly staff. Great views with nice breakfast. Centrally located near the sea. Lovely views of the coast and town. Lots of stairs to the top floor with the balcony, but views were stunning.
This town and room were special. All are as advertised and well worth the trip. Our specific room was definitely a keeper, with a balcony looking out to the water. Surely one of the most memorable experiences of this location was the circuitous hike it takes to get to the room. Prepare your video camera because I've never had a longer, more amusing hike to get to a room in my life. Because of where you are, it just adds to the experience. The hotel is completely convenient and well worth staying at. The town is fantastic and unique. Our personal recommendation is to stay here or Montorosso. Of course do the hikes and earn your dinner! We'd absolutely stay here again.
Very nice room with a wonderful terrace, The view from the terrace is spectacular, especially at sunset! The only problem is the amount of stairs you have to climb to get to the room! But definitely worth it.
We booked the sea view room one and a half months ago, and one day before we got to Vernazza, we messaged to them and confirmed the room we have booked, and also informed our arriving time, so they knew we were coming. But unfortunalty, when we finally arrived in there, they told us, our room was occupied by another guest by mistake...all right! It was not surprising that this is happening here, in Italy. The airport express can delay 20 minutes... So we may hope there was some other room in this hotel, not the sea view room. After a couple of minutes, they explain to us that the hotel is full...and they offer us another room oppsite the hotel, which was not the sea view, but right of main street through the village. The room was lovely. But not the view we expected. And the bath room, hot water was not enough for two person at one time, and I had the cold bath at the end....At breakfast we also need to explain to them we have no room number.....But if we could live in the sea view room, it would be better. The hotel with a screct terrace, which had a beautiful sea view! We really love it! We went there twice! Vernazza is our favourite town of Cinque Terre. We hope to come back.
