Grew up in an ex-pat family. Born in Alabama, but California became my second home. I am a San Diego State University alumni, currently living in teaching in Rabat. My husband (Baki) and I met while traveling through Kathmandu, Nepal. Baki is originally from Bursa, Turkey and graduated from the University in Izmir. We are both open minded, well traveled, easy going, highly adaptive and down to earth.

Some of our first childhood memories come from running around the streets of our neighborhood with a pack of friends, getting our hands dirty and exploring. As travelers/explorers, one of the lessons that we have learned is, if it's community and culture that you crave, check out a new neighborhood. Neighborhoods are the epitome of diversity with their history, architecture , inhabitants, and food. They are the melting pot of colors, flavors and people with unique identities and personalities. They also provide guests a glimpse of who people are, along with their daily happiness' and struggles.

We are fortunate enough to live in the old city of Rabat - "The Medina" which is filled with a labyrinth of small alleys, colourful buildings (Andalusian style- as most of the architecture ) and street markets. It's the reason we decided to open up our home and share this unique experience with others. We invite you to join us. Bring your walking shoes, appetite; be free, spontaneous, and unscheduled as you wander around the windy back streets of the Medina.
