In the real world I am a Statistician. I work on health data with smart people at a university and get to keep away from undergrads, which suits me just fine. I love to take on difficult, messy problems and keep at them until I turn them into lovely gleaming tables and graphs ;)
Outside of work I like to spend time with my motorbike (FZ6S), brewing, cooking, listening to music (metal and 'strange' stuff), reading (genre or non-fiction) or doing somewhere outdoors like snorkelling or bushwalking (aka hiking), and always keeping an eye out for birds.
Luxury hotels, spas, and cruises aren't me, my ideal way to travel is to find somewhere interesting and get to know it a bit better, even if it's only for a few days. In recent years I've had a few great trips in Central American and India with my wife, I'm on my own this time (couldn't go with her to France last year) so I'm going to all the places she knocks (I think that will change once she sees the photos).
The first thing I'll probably ask you is where to find a good coffee! After that essential detail is sorted out, it will probably be something along the lines of where are the good parks/record stores/craft beer/history/nature in the area. Combining these things together makes me very happy :)
