We had a very brief visit to Leixlip for the night & Stayed with Caroline. We had a comfortable stay. Caroline is a very friendly & hospitable host & Served a fine breakfast next morning. She very helpful in getting my kindle back to me after I left it behind. Thank you Caroline.
We had a very nice time in Caroline's mansion in Leixlip. We had a very lovely breakfast every morning with super-delicous jams and one of the best coffees we had experienced so far. Moreover, Leixlip has some attractions itself. The courtyard (a Pub in the centre of the village) has the best meals we experienced during our tour in Ireland. Caroline was at any time very helpful when we had questions about the culture, landscape or Dublin-city. Besides, the mansion is very cozy and absolutely unique! More than worth visiting!
It was a great experience staying in this lovely house. First thanks to Caroline; she was at every moment helpful and pleasent to talk with, but at the same time gives you total liberty to move in and out and have your own space. And because her excellent Irish Brekfast of every morning, of course!
Second because of the house, a beauty, in a lovely place, very quiet and at walking distance from Intel, HP and Leixlip. All in all an experience that for me sets it apart from most other B&Bs I have been in. I will remember this one!
I had a lovely evening in Caroline's rather unique house.. I arrived later than expected , only to go out a short while later.. and yet Caroline still lit a fire in the sitting room and made me a cuppa after my long drive .. We ended up chatting for a good while, finding that we knew people and places in common. Caroline was entertaining and interesting and very generous of spirit. Her house is fascinating and has a very special soul.. It was a much more than just a B & B experience! I hope to be back, to continue the conversation!
I loved staying in this Georgian House. The ambience was warm and the hostess very professional and cheerfull. Room was very confortable and breakfast very good.
We booked our stay with Caroline for myself, my husband and a friend. In the end I was not able to travel, so another friend took my place; Caroline was very accommodating and this wasn't a problem at all. The three of them had a lovely stay, with a warm friendly welcome in Caroline's beautiful house. She was very patient with our sometimes slow communication (we'd just had a baby and were unusually disorganised!). We'd definitely recommend a stay here.
Caroline was absolutely wonderful to stay with! She is incredibly friendly, helpful, and makes a great breakfast! Leixlip was a little bit out of Dublin (about 20 minutes by bus) but after spending the day touring around in Dublin, we really enjoyed hanging out in the local Leixlip bars and pubs! We'd definitely stay here again!
Amazing house, so beautiful, and we were really well looked after. I would really recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere a little bit different to stay when in Dublin.
Caroline's house is a great example of Georgian private dwellings in Ireland. It was in a secluded quarter of charming Leixlip with its nice shops and good restaurants. She was very accomodating for our needs, and welcomed us with a steaming cup of tea and biscuits. We each had beautifully decorated rooms. Next morning we were taking a ferry from Dublin, and it took only half an hour to get there, so it is convenient, too. Despite our early departure, she provided us with breakfast in a beautiful morning room. Thank you.
