Sarah's booking enquiry came late on Friday night circa 11.30. I responded the next morning and gave extensive directions to the house. I also said to ring me giving my number. At the expected arrival hour I kept my phone beside me checking it constantly. There were no calls. I heard a car arrive and was greeted when opening the door by a man saying angrily why don't you answer your phone?! Lovely. Big gulp. It transpired Sarah had met the man at the airport and he offered her a lift. It also transpired Sarah did not have a phone and it was the mans child who had been ringing me. I have an iPhone there were no calls. To compound the injury Sarah asked me had I been asleep?!! Not an auspicious start! Infact I found it extremely unpleasant. I did try my best to put it behind me the next day and to be as helpful as possible to Sarah.
Obviously I did not try hard enough. You win some you lose some. The majority of my guests proclaim themselves happy with their experience here.
