Hi! I am originally from Berlin, but I have been living in Miami the past 15 years. I work as a visual artist. I love the outdoors; hiking, biking, and swimming. My favorite places is the US are New York, San Francisco, and the American West.

Really enjoyed our two nights in Hans' place at the end of March. Hans was a very friendly, helpful host. The location of the cottage is excellent for downtown Miami, the garden with its private terrace absolutely idyllic and peaceful, and the cottage itself cosy (sorry: for our American friends "cozy"!). It was a great start to our trip round Florida!
Hans was a very good host. We had the whole house for ourselves so didnt see much of him even though he was also living on the property. The bed was really good but I expected to have a full kitchen though. We had a really good time in Hans' house. The house was really well located to visit Miami.
My parents had a great stay. The surroundings are beautiful and the cottage had everything they needed. They would love to visit there again.
I had a fantastic stay at the cottage! Hans was a great host and gave me great tips about the neighborhood. The accommodations were perfect for my needs. Clean, comfortable, very well located to downtown Miami and minutes from freeway access to the many golf courses I enjoyed. The quiet and lush backyard filled with interesting art pieces was the perfect way to relax after my round. Free parking on the street was also a big plus for me. I would not hesitate a second to stay there again and would highly recommend the Arts in the Tropics cottage for your visit to Miami!
It was a very nice and cozy little room. It is one bedroom with a bathroom. All the necessities were there. It was clean. There is wifi, so very much connected with Internet. Hans was there to welcome me, but for the latter part I was on my own which I prefer. The cottage was one street down from 8th Street also known for Calle Ocho in Little Havana. For me it was a great experience. It would have been better if I spoke better Spanish, because English isn't widely spoken in that area. There is a bus stop on 8th Street which brings you right downtown, so it is very central with easy access.
Gostei... Recomendo...
Hans was vey helpful and his place was just as described. The location in Little Havana made the neighborhood interesting. The location was very convenient for seeing our list of sights in Miami.
