I am originally from the US and have lived in China for 3 years. Love the Airbnb concept of share economy and disrupting industries along the way. When not working in a commercial real estate company, I enjoy watching and playing hockey any chance I can get. Even if it means flying to Bangkok to participate in a hockey tournament.
In China, I love to travel and study Chinese. A few of my favorite places have been the Tiger Leaping Gorge in Yunan province and on the other side of the urbanization spectrum Hong Kong also tops the list. Please ask me how to find awesome beaches and hiking in HK as I lived there for half a year when I was a student and I know all the great spots.
Living in China has its benefits of streaming non-advertised TV shows and movies. Recently, I have blasted through Breaking Bad, Homeland, Game of Thrones, and some Modern Family on the side. The time difference kills me, however, for watching playoff hockey. It was quite a strange experience watching the Bruins win their first Stanley Cup in my lifetime at 10:30 AM in a bar in Beijing while blowing off work. But that is part of the fun of living in Asia.
