Wonderfully spacious house on a quiet street surrounded by so many trees. My girlfriend and I only needed one bed but it was very comfortable bed. The house is close to Decatur square which has a ton of dining options (and MARTA train), I recommend the Brick Store or Victory Sandwich Bar!
Scott was very accommodating and let us have access to the house early on the day we arrived.
I would definitely recommend Scott's place!!
The location was perfect for why we were in town. The place was spacious and comfortable. Scott made himself available if we had any questions or issues. I would recommend his home to anyone interested.
Scott is an exceptionally good host. The apartment is indeed a sunny candler park house with historic charm. During my stay in February-March it was perfect: a warm, comfortable spot with individual charm and perks that make airbnb so much nicer than a hotel. The house was easy to find and the pictures accurately portrayed the apartment. I had everything I needed and Scott went out of his way to welcome me and make sure I was comfortable: including bringing me fresh eggs from his chickens and lending me a bike! I used to live in this same neighborhood so I was looking forward to being back - its a safe and pretty spot with walkable restaurants, yoga studios, parks, bars, and local independent businesses. I highly recommend the apartment! It will be my first preference for where to stay when I return to Atlanta in a couple of months.
The historic house is divided into 4 apartments. There is a small farm in the back yard with a flock of friendly cute chickens who you wouldn't know were there by noise or small, just that they come up to the fence to greet you when you get out of the car :) The neighbors are kind and quiet (I was able to hear sounds from the upstairs apartment, but it was not noisy nor did it disturb my sleep). I felt safe at all times in the house and in the neighborhood. There are just a few stairs up the porch to the front door, and the laundry is located in the basement, so this might not be the spot for a limited mobility person. I loved the amenities of a full kitchen and a large bathroom, and had I been there in warmer months, I would have enjoyed the porch and the garden. The apartment is fully furnished and the bed and sofa are very comfy, linens were clean and good quality, all appliances worked and I had everything I needed for cooking. There is enough space in the closets that I was able to put away my suitcases and "move in" for my stay.
Scott and Margot's place was very cozy and charming. The home was very well kept and clean, we enjoyed our stay there. They worked very well with us and our last minute accommodation and also gave excellent suggestions on things to do during our stay. I would recommend their home to my friends and family!
I just finished building a railing to the steps, per the suggestion of a recent guest.
Thanks again , y'all.
We had a great stay at Scott and Margot's. Scott was incredibly accommodating and helped us out of a jam. The house was clean and roomy, and the neighborhood is really quiet and very convenient to get to most places in Atlanta. Highly recommend staying here!
Scott and Margot helped me feel welcome - even though I didn't have a chance to meet them, we communicated via phone and text. The neighborhood is a quiet street but only two blocks from downtown. Everything was as advertised in the apartment.
Scott and Margot greeted me upon my arrival. They were interested in my travel plans and suggested places I would be interested in visiting around the city. They made sure I felt welcome, at home, and safe, and that I had everything I needed to make my stay as comfortable as it could be. I was well accommodated, and I appreciated the use of their iPhone charger (I forgot to bring one).
The neighborhood was safe and the neighbors were very friendly. The property was walking distance to many shops and restaurants, and the MARTA (transit). It was centrally located and very convenient for me. And to be honest, you don’t need a car to get around the neighborhood.
Peter was really pleasant and very helpful. Enjoyed the space and the area. Thanks so much!!
very nice person who makes you feel relaxed
Scott was a very considerate host! Everything was as stated, and the proximity to the venue was perfect. :)
Scott's son was a friendly, well mannered young man. He was understanding about my schedule and respectful. I would welcome him or his family again.
My housemate hosted Scott while I was away, but all reports were that Scott was an excellent guest!
Scott and his family were great guest. We hope to have the again for more time next time. We'd gladly host them, and recommend them to others.
Nice guy who is welcome here again anytime!
