Nice cozy apartment, quiet, working A/C, as described. As non-smokers we noticed a musty cigarette odor when we first entered. Bed was uncomfortably mushy. After a few nights we switched to the sofabed & were thankful that it was firmer. Shower did not get really hot enough. Did not have the pleasure of meeting Julien .. we corresponded via email. We felt at home there, once we figured out how everything worked. Neighborhood is very safe and friendly. Nice tall windows with mini balconies & nice view.
We were able to walk to almost everything: Pompidou, Notre Dame, Musee Dorcy. Great place for breakfast right next door Overall, a very cozy, nice place to stay.
Julien was an amazing host and his apartment was way above our expectations for our stay in Paris. It was spacious, clean and wonderful to stay in for the week. Julien was a perfect host and made himself available to us at any time. The Marais is a perfect location to stay in when visiting Paris - in walking distance of some major sites and has many nice cafes and restaurants. We would recommend Julien's apartment to anyone visiting Paris without hesitation.
I booked the Julien's apartment for my parents to stay in for their 50th wedding anniversary. Julien could not have been more accommodating or welcoming of them and he was a pleasure to communicate with, always responding quickly. My parents found the apartment spacious and clean, and close to all - definitely a great location!
On a special note, I thought my parents were staying 14 nights but their flights had them in Paris for 16 nights! Julien came home to a still occupied apartment. Not wanting to add stress to their trip, Julien graciously extended their stay there, finding other accommodations for a night for his friends who were to use the apartment. Truly lovely of him.
I would very recommend this place and Julien.
We had a wonderful stay at Julien's apartment. The location could not have been better - the Marais is definitely the place to be!
The apartment was clean and tidy, very spacious, with everything in good working order. We loved the views out across to the Parisian rooftops and even the Pompidou centre!
Julien was very prompt with responses and more than helpful when we needed some advice.
A truly great experience. When we come to Paris again, this is where we hope to stay!
Jennie, Michael and Henri!
The apartment is fantastic. A cosy and great place in a heart of Paris. I totally recommend.
And Julien is kind and helpful.
I'll definitely stay there again.
Well, how positive could I write this review without sounding biased...?
It was simply excellent!
Julien has been a very welcoming host, communicating a lot before and during our stay to make sure everything meets our needs. He definitely made us feel welcome in his flat, and we could feel he genuinely wanted us to have a great stay in Paris.
And indeed it was! Like said in previews reviews, his appartment is spot clean, exactly like on the pictures, very comfortable and neat and functional. Appliances, AC/heating, electric blinds, hot water etc...not a single problem. The apartment is so quiet that you would wonder if you're not completely alone in the building. And the location...well, have a look at the map and you'll see that you can't get more central.
So,to summarize...not only is the apartment perfect, but Julien is also a great host.
We will come back..provided you fellow Airbnb guests leave a few nights available for us ;-)
Julien was an amazing host. He even waited for 3 hours at the apt when we were delayed.
The apt was clean, comfortable, and in the best area of Paris.
Do not hesitate to stay here.
Julien is very hospitable and attentive host. We have a great time in his flat.
He told us about good markets and bakeries nearby.
He has nice, spacious and light flat in a great location. It's situated on quiet street, in walk distance to most sights, right near the Pompidou Center.
There are some good restaurants and bakeries near the flat. We found great bakeries on Temple Street.
There are a separate bedroom with a comfortable bed, big livingroom, good soundproofing - you'll not hear any street noise and any neighbors. Not bad Wi-Fi.
The kitchen has necessary pots, pans, dining utensils, spices, salt, pepper, Nespresso coffee sets for the first days. But there was just a one little knife, and we couldn't use it for cooking and had to bought some more knives. There are no ladle and wine glasses too.
Flat was clean but not as good as we expect for 200$ per night. Our own flat is cleaner ). There were some dirty spots on walls, switches, coffe makers were with used capsules inside, sofa needs a dry cleaner. There were not enough clothes hangers in (website hidden) has only 5 French channels
Next time we'll definitely stay in Julien's flat.
Julian was an excellent guest
What can I say?! It was an absolute pleasure to host Julien. Shame his trip was short though! He is the perfect roomie, quiet, polite, respectful. Worked too hard which left no time for more than one glass of wine :))).
