I spent the weekend in New York with my siblings a few weeks ago, and we had a fantastic experience at Patrick's place.
Patrick was a great host. He was very accommodating and willing to work with our schedule as far as arriving/departing.
The apartment is a good size and is kept neat and clean. It easily sleeps three people–two on the bed, and the couch pictured is very comfortable for a third person.
The building is located in a very safe area on the upper east side, a few blocks from the 6 train, which we found runs very frequently, even on weekends. It was a quick ride to bars etc. on the lower east side, and it was nice to have the nightlife so accessible, but to be able to sleep in a quieter part of the city.
I would definitely recommend Patrick's place to anyone who is looking for a New York City getaway!
Patrick was extremely friendly and helpful in my settling in to his apartment. The location is fabulous, very friendly doormen, awesome boutique coffee shop downstairs, and everything you need in the neighborhood. Easy walk to the subway. Comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Convenient kitchen, cozy home atmosphere and sofa and furniture. Aircon works well in the bedroom. Wifi worked easily. Would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to friends or family who need a place to stay in the area as well.
I felt welcome even before I arrived. Patrick promptly answered all my questions. They cleaned the apartment well and lit some candles which made it a very warm home to walk in.
The place is just like described, actually better, because they got a bigger TV than the one in the picture.
Location is great, Food Emporium cross road, tons of restaurants in the area, Duane Reade (Walgreen) on the same block ... you get whatever you need within a couple blocks. The building is at the corner, the doorman is friendly, there are 4 elevators and I never had to wait long.
My wife and I love this place. Patrick took good care of the place and prepared pretty much everything we needed for stay. We enjoyed smoothie everyday using the blender, which was really nice. We immediately felt like at home instead of a hotel. Oh the windows are facing east, away from the street. No street view, but we started to like it very much because the sun comes up and shine through the window in the morning and it's not hot in the afternoon.
Overall, this is a great place to stay.
30 great days made possible by Pat, whom let us so comfortable that it truly felt we were staying at our own place. If I'm visiting Manhattan again that's were we want to stay again. Highly recommend.
Patrick was accommodating and met us in the morning to give us the keys and take our luggage to the apartment until the apartment was ready. Patrick gave us the wrong keys but later met us to fix the problem. The apartment was large and comfortable, more of a man's apartment (which it is) so don't expect it to be filled with upscale amenities like nice sundries or nice sheets. In the winter the heat is on in the building all the time and you can't adjust it which when we asked Patrick he said was standard for New York apartments. There is a fan however. We did not use the kitchen but if we had it looked like it had all essential pots and pans. It was farther from things than we expected since there is only one subway train that goes up that way so we ended up staying out all day and not returning until we were ready for bed. Patrick allowed us a late check-out which was helpful. The elevator was also a nice plus.
We had great days in Patrick's apartment. He is a really nice host and his place is clean an comfortable. The building is beautiful and there's a 24hour doorman. The only thing is that the metro station is 6 blocks far from the building, so you'll need a little walk if you don't want to take a cab.
Patrick was there to greet us at the apartment even though we were over an hour late due to traffic so that was awesome. He was extremely helpful and friendly, he answered any questions we had honestly and even had a beer with us. The apartment is in a brilliant location, minutes walk to subway and about 10-12 min walk to Central Park. It was very cosy and perfect for a couple and LOVED the massage chair and used it every night. Having a 24hr doorman was great and it added to the security as my wife was a bit worried about that. There are Restaurants, a pharmacy, Food Emporium, 24 hr Walgreens, Starbucks, McDonalds, and even a laundromat just to name a few right at the doorstep. We stayed for 10 nights and we caught the subway every day and we were very late back each day some nights until 2am and we felt very safe walking around there was always people about and we saw no problems. We found the subway was the best way to get around once you get the hang of it. We would definitely stay here again.
The reservation was canceled 19 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment was extremely comfortable and spacious (plenty of room for 3 people!). It was even better that there was a doorman 24/7 and the building had an elevator (that saved us from carrying our heavy luggages up several flights of stairs). The massage chair was great after long days walking around. The location was perfect - in a very safe neighbourhood with easy access to subways and trains. There were plenty of great restaurants in the area.
Pat was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave great recommendations and was there early to ensure everything was working upon arrival. I would definitely stay here again!
I had a very positive experience in this charming apartment. The apartment is in a luxury building with a doorman and, important for me, elevators. The location was excellent for walking to the Metropolitan Museum of Art on several days. There is a Food Emporium across the street with an excellent selection of food which enabled me to eat breakfast and one dinner in the apartment.
Patrick Azzara was an excellent host. When I related that the mattress was hard for me, he bought a foam mattress pad immediately and solved the problem. He was knowledgeable about restaurants in the area.
The only drawback for me was that I saw five Broadway shows during my stay and getting cabs to and from the theatre was somewhat difficult and costs $30 each day. The drive to one theatre for a 7pm show took 40 minutes due to heavy traffic at that time.
I would would highly recommend this apartment if you plan to visit the many museums on Museum Mile.
