We are home-grown Southern Californians, recently married and love to travel. If you have any questions about Los Angeles or where to go/what to do I'm more than happy to share LA with you.
Brandons apartment was great for what we needed, safe/secure place to keep our belongings. It could have a been a bit cleaner but it was fine and in a GREAT location in L.A., spent a week here. Be aware though, as the building is old the windows are single pane...i.e. you will here everything going on outside....literally everything. Great price for what you get in a central L.A. location. I would recommend or return if I ever came back, Brandon was nice as well, prompt to answer if I had any questions.
My fiance and I wanted to get away for the weekend, stay somewhere central and comfy with a little more than a hotel could offer and Brandon's apartment was perfect! Its really easy to get around and we loved the neighborhood and parking garage was needed and very easy to access. We had no idea where to stay, and I feel super lucky I picked this one! We saw a ton of art, ate so much good food, and even did some cliche site seeing. Pretty awesome trip, now I want to move to LA!
Brandon was a great host. The apartment is spacious and perfect for 2 or 3 guests. The neighbourhood is close to the center area. There are plenty of small and good restaurants. Brandon recommended us a lot of interesting places to visit.
On recommande vivement ! Un grand merci à Brandon
We had a great stay, Brandon met us with a parking pass and made the stay great. We loved Tom N Tom coffee in the morning.
My family and I stayed in this apartment from March 26-29, 2012. We did not enjoy our stay. The apartment had a very strong disinfectant smell on our arrival and the smell lingered for the duration of our stay. The fan had dust an inch thick on it so obviously it had not been cleaned in a very long time. The apartment is situated in an art deco building but do not be seduced by this notion as we were. The halls in the building are filthy, with dust floating everywhere. This means the dust comes into the apartment. The bed was really uncomfortable as well. You are better off spending a few extra dollars and staying in hotel.
I had the honor to rent from Brandon for about five weeks and I have to say that I am extremely satisfied. The place is beautiful and has a great cultural art deco style to it. There are lost of fun places to go to around there and the subway will take you where you need to go. Brandon is an incredibly thoughtful and compassionate host who truly goes above and beyond to make folks feel happy and right at home. Plus he gives a list of great places to check out in LA. I would love to catch up with him next time I'm in town. I had a good time. Pretty good, pretty good. Prettyyy prettyyyy prettyyyy pretty good.
We loved the history of this little place. The main foyer was full of interesting pieces, the elevators were cute as buttons, the room cosy and spotless and fits the description beautifully. I loved the little touches like the information pack and the bottle of red (which my partner demolished) and the dark chocolate bars (which i did). Brandon met us there and was very helpful and forgiving of our late arrival. 3 of us fit comfortably in this place and ill gladly use it again if we head back to LA- Thanks Brandon.
We stayed for 5 nites!
It was a historic building with a cozy place, love it!
Location was good, easy access to Metro and Rail with walking distance of 7-10mins!
Full kitchen facilities!
Good Wifi connection!
We would love to recommend this place for any party of 2!
Brandon is the best person ever, and he is your go-to guy for all things Los Angeles. His apartment is awesome, too! Whether you are ready to splurge or traveling on a budget, he knows all the great spots to go drink, eat, and play, and he always knows how to smartly navigate across the sprawling metropolis. Plus, Brandon has a spacious yet cozy third-floor apartment, with big windows and lots of natural light, in a really cool 1920s building. It's centrally located in a vibrant neighborhood with lots of nearby restaurants and bars and a Friday farmer's market, just a short walk to public transit, and less than a 10-minute subway ride to downtown LA and Hollywood.
Brandon is an all around great person who happens to have a rocking apartment. It's spacious, cozy, comfortably furnished, smartly decorated, and authentically art deco -- so art deco that I imagine he dons a homburg hat when walking to the Metro subway station a few blocks away.
I've known Brandon for 15 years now and he's a really awesome guy. He has a lot of good recommendations for things to do in LA and his apartment is centrally located near public transit, restaurants, bars, and even a late-night taco truck. And his place has everything you need to make your stay in LA convenient and comfortable; it's roomy and nice to hang out in and carefully decorated.
