Myself and my boyfriend stayed in Josh's for a month.
The apt was modern, clean, comfy and a had nice kitchen. We shared it with Josh's two other house mates, who were welcoming and down to earth.
The room was full of light and we had access to his mac and scanner, but we didn't have the xbox/projector most of the stay. We also minded his affectionate cat JJ, who lives in his room. I already miss him. There was a problem with the door to the apt, it was impossible for me to open when locked. Definitely need it fixed.
The apt block was nice, with cool views of the city from the roof and a handy laundry in the basement. Close by are bodegas, grocery stores and Roccos pizza. The area is relaxed compared to other noisy and busy places close by, I always felt safe and it was cool to see local bloc parties.
The G train is a 10min walk away and handy to get to Williamsburg and East Side nyc, but kind of a hassle to get anywhere else because of the transfers.
Josh is real friendly, always easy to get a hold of if we needed anything and has a great taste in posters.
I definitely recommend this place!
Josh and his housemate were really nice and friendly, with lots of information about the city. The location was good, right near the G train with easy access to Manhattan and Williamsburg. The only negative was the room didn't have any windows with natural light which was a little annoying, but the apartment is fairly new and was still undergoing renovations (I think they were putting in a skylight) so that may be fixed soon. Definitely good value and recommended!
Jash lives in a great brand new renovation in the heart of a commercial area with plenty of shopping within 15 minutes of the G train. Jash is helpful and friendly and his apartment is stylish and clean. The bed is comfy. Make sure to bring a towel and be prepared to hike up some stairs.
We enjoyed staying at Josh's place, it is well located and near a subway station. The room was more than comfortable, with Internet access and A/C. There is practically no curtains, so make sure to feel comfortable with lots of light early in the morning. The rest of the apartment is small and is an open space, overall not a good idea for people who needs privacy and who are searching for a clean environment. Otherwise if you just need a place to crash it is perfect, at least it was perfect for us.
We were lucky to share the flat with real nice people visiting as well, because otherwise don't think we would have felt that comfortable. We saw Josh only once when we arrived but he has been nice and helpful with directions. People were appearing and disappearing, majority were nice to us.
Please take note that YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS if you want to shower. Would definitely go back there. Thanks Josh.
Jash accommodated me on very short notice and was flexible when I had a change of plans.
Over all, I had a great experience. The location was great. There was a bike shop down the street, called post, where I rented a cruiser. Josh and his roommates couldn't have been more inviting and helpful. I felt secure leaving all my stuff there. The room looks just like the pictures. You should consider staying @ hotel JJ, fo sho.
Jash + his roomates were super chill and staying at these lofts is an awesome introduction into brooklyn/nyc for 20somethings. A++ Provided a desktop computer for our use and internet access as well.
Josh was helpful and accommodating in putting up two of my friends, with friendly communications. I didn't visit the place personally so couldn't speak to the overall standard of accommodation but he addressed early issues promptly and pro-actively. Thanks Josh!
Josh and his guests were respectful of the Wind Rider.
Jash is truly awesome, sweet and considerate. His apartment is also the nuts! It's a great location in Brooklyn, big open space with a great roof terrace. If you enjoy a chilled out, cool environment that's close enough to all the bars, good subway location to the city and full of young and active people then I'd highly recommend it!
His cat is awesome too... almost as awesome as him :)
