Eva's Rooms was a wonderful place to stay. The location was fabulous, the room was very comfortable, clean, and we looked out our window to see the Main Street teeming with visitors during the day, and heard music from across the street in the evening. Maurizia met us at the train station and got us settled quickly. She was very accommodating. If you get the chance, stay here. It was a great experience.
Eva's room 1 is fresh, sunny and cheerful . It was spotless with crisp white linens , included a small refrigerator, hot pot for tea or instant coffee and numerous teas, coffee packets and sugars. It was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. The air conditioner was quiet and efficient. It was welcomed after each day of hiking the beautiful Cinque Terre. The large window that opens in various ways, blocks out train noise, and the shutters that block out light for sleeping were great for at night and fun to open fully in the morning to enjoy the lively street scene below.
Room 1 had it's private bathroom outside in the foyer. It quickly became no issue. The reason for this is that you are provided a key to the bathroom and you just lock it when you are done, so you are assured that no one else will use it. The two other rooms have ensuite bathrooms and we never saw either party , who were there the same nights as we were. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and hairdryer and soaps provided.
Great location in Vernazza
We stayed in Eva's Room number 2 for 2 nights. Maurizia was very nice and met us at the train station and walked us the 20 steps to the apartment. The apartment is very close to the train station and if you sleep with the windows open and are a light sleeper this might be a problem for you. We used the air conditioning and kept the windows closed and we had problem! The room was clean, a bit bare, but had everything we needed. The wifi worked well and you are literally in the center of Vernazza which is great! I could imagine that the shower might be a bit small for a larger person but it wasn't too bad for me (I'm just tall) ;) The only downside to the room is that you can hear the other guests very easily. We didn't have loud neighbors but everytime they came in or used their bathroom (which was outside our room) we could hear them very easily as if they were in the room with us. Like I said, our neighbors were a quiet, young couple so we didn't have a problem with them but if you get a louder group it might be an issue. We loved being so close to the train station because it made it easy to explore the other surrounding towns. We saw all of the Cinque Terre and Vernazza was by far our favorite!
Maurizia was great with communication and found us at the train station. The room was very bright and spacious with a great window overlooking the Main Street. An amazing location in an amazing town and the cafe directly across from Eva's Rooms served the best coffee we've had in Italy! We'll stay again!
I stayed at Eva's Rooms Number 1 and it was lovely. The room was spacious with adequate storage, and a lovely exposed-stone wall framing a window that looks out onto Vernazza's main street. One of my favourite things to do was to have a cup of tea first thing in the morning, sitting by the open window and watching Vernazza wake up. Maurizia had very kindly provided an electric kettle, cups, a little fridge, a safe, even shampoo and soap -- this is the hallmark of a thoughtful host. The bathroom is across the hallway and a bit small, and you have to close the shower doors tightly to prevent water from getting out, but it's well lit and set out in pretty turquoise and white. A hairdryer is also provided. As for location, it was just next to the train station, which was extremely convenient -- no need to navigate winding alleys to get home. A little noisy from the trains, but the closed window muted the sounds well. There is also a drying line outside in case you'd like to dry or air your clothes. A little note: when coming up the stairs it may sometimes get dark, so use your phone's flash light to guide you. Maurizia herself was very friendly and kind, greeting us with a big smile and easily reachable. I enjoyed my stay here and will come back again.
Maurizia met us at the train station as promised. Her places are only a few steps away. Our room was as stated with a view over the main street in town. There was a internet, fridge, a full bath and AC what more does one need. . .
We had a wonderful time in Vernazza staying here! The room was cozy but extremely comfortable for two. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well with great water pressure. Most of all, the room was conveniently located next to the train station and in the vicinity of several great restaurants. Maurizia was a kind host and we would definitely stay here again.
We loved Eva's rooms. Super location, very simple and Maurizia was wonderful. She even met us at the train station and walked us over. As the listing mentions, it's very close to the station and the trains are loud if you leave the window open, which we usually like to do. But the window was soundproof and air circulation good with it shut. Really comfortable bed!
My stay with Maurizia could not have been easier! She met my boyfriends and I at the bottom of the stairs at the train station which is a 20 second walk away from the bnb. The room was clean and air conditioned, and she switched out our towels after two days. She was very attentive and responsive to questions (and super friendly). The bathroom was outside of our room which was the only downside, but it was not an issue. We would stay here again. Thanks so much!
Vernazza, Cinque Terre was simply magnificent. Our short 2 day stay at Eva's room was terrific!!!! The location couldn't be better and Maurizia was a wonderful host. She was helpful with any questions we had and was easily reachable. We would give high recommendations and would love to visit again. Many thanks!
