Amo viaggiare e incontrare nuove culture. Mi sono innamorata di Luxor tempo fa e ho deciso di realizzare un sogno costruendo Villa Diletta.

Fantastic apartment, fantastic location and fantastic service. I couldn't have asked for anything better (I doubt there is) and there is no doubt I will stay with Roberta again if ever I am in Luxor.
Mohamed also was an excellent host and always available to help whenever needed.
We had a wonderful stay of 2 days at the Villa and felt more than comfortable in the small cosy villa and also very much enjoyed it's terrace. The place is located in a quiet area, with view on the Nile, just some minutes from the ferry. The apartment itself contains everything needed for self-catering.
But apart from the Villa itself it was the hospitality of Roberta and Mohammed that made our stay so special. Roberta was very supportive and welcoming by mail even long before our arrival. She and Mohammed also helped us to find accommodation for an additional night that we had spontaneously decided for. Mohammed received us very well and I am sure he would have helped us with everything if we would have had more questions. All in all a great stay!
Incredible value for money, located on the West Bank just 100 meters from the Nile River. We had a terrific 2 night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. As stated in many other reviews. Mohamed was extremely helpful setting up taxis and guides, at reasonable rates.
Roberta's apartment was just as advertised and as the other review's described - very nice and super value! The apartment was clean, large, and located just a few minutes walk from the ferry near a number of very pleasant river front cafes.
Roberta was quick to respond to our inquiries and very kind. Also as advertised, Mohammed was very helpful and easily reachable. He arrived on short notice when we arrived early in the morning to drop off our bags, and helped arranged a car for us for the day to visit the Valley of the Kings.
I enjoyed coming back :) Apartment have become more cosy and there are new beautiful plants in garden. Mohammed and Roberta is taking very good care of this place.
Thanks for wonderful time in Luxor! :)
p.s. by the way, Egypt is safe to trawel and absolutely worth to see it.
we were pleased with the arrangement where we were able to change from one apartment to the other since we are 75 years old and did not want to use the stairways, also change dates due to civil unrest affecting trains We were met with o host Mr. Mohamed and helped us with the luggage. The place was as advertised, spacious and well decorated with pink colors and Lotus theme. The kitchen was fully equipped, the wi fi was helpful to keep us connected. Being in the west side, it was easy to take the public ferry to the East side. Mohamed was very helpful to get us a second set of keys and get the battery for the wall clock. friendly resident cat to keep your company while you have coffee. Main Street has fresh fruit and vegetable shops, bakery with fresh baladi (pita) bread coming out of the oven all day, excellent spice shop selling nuts and home-made pickles along with vast array of herbs and spices, seeds. European style bakery across from Arabian horse stables. Continuing on the street you have a pleasant walk through fields like stepping back in time, mud brick house, farm animals, and donkey carts.
Mohamed, our host, showed me around the village shops and the ferry in his motorcycle (I am 75 and have not been on one in decades!). He also picked us up at the train station and arranged transport and helped us with up and down stairs with our luggage, we could not have made it at our age without him! The ramp and stairs to the motor launch would have been impossible on our own!
Our lady hostess, Roberta, returned from her fashion business in Italy the last few days of our stay and was kind enough to give us some branches of their healthy vines to take with us.
Incredible value and convenience all around!
Thanks to you Roberta and Mohamed.
Lovely place. Great quiet area about 10 mins walk to the ferry. Bright clean and good internet.
Wish I could of stayed longer but just a quick day stop.
Host was (email hidden)cessible at all times and helpful.
Only odd part was the water cutting off at times, but I think this occurs in all of egypt often.
It was wonderful! My little son felt there good too. Mohammed was like a guarding angle for us, he helped in any way we needed. From the bottom or my hearth I suggest you to stay in this little Paradise. And fell free and safe to ask Mohammed everything - he is friendly and warm.
Also, suggest to spend some time in Luxor and Karnak, just sitting quiettly.
Thank your both, Roberta and Mohammed, it was a pleasure to be your gurst! Hope to come back..... ☺
Me and my father stayed at Roberta and Mohamed's apartment and had a wonderful time in Luxor. Mohamed was on hand if we needed him at any time.
The villa is in a great location on the West Bank with views of the Nile and easy to get to the Theban necropolis. The villa is only 5mins away from the ferry which takes you to the east bank, where you can find the main town, Luxor temple and the amazing Karnak.
Would highly recommend!
This is the second review I leave for Ms. Fortunato, this time for 9 nights' stay in her upper flat (Blue Flat) at the Villa Diletta. This is a bijoux space, and while advertised for two people, I think it a better space reserved for one, as there are only 3 rooms in this flat - a kitchen, bathroom, and a somewhat smallish double bedroom. I found it adequate for my needs, but I doubt that both myself and husband could have enjoyed the space. I had excellent response from the caretaker/bowab, Mohamed, during my stay, and found enough outside space on the veranda for hosting of a small dinner party of 5 while there. As temps ranged from the low single figures to 30 C, keeping the space comfortable became a challenge, but the flat was adequately supplied with blankets and a good strong air conditioner. It's rare to say that I had to use all of these features in a single stay!
I found cooking meals very easy, as well as having warm showers - both of which are needed when you are on your own. The only problem I can address here is that the top step to the staircase needs to be raised about 6-7 inches as it is a greater than 12" drop from the roof top to this first step. A number of guests, and myself, found the long drop a bit of a safety worry, and one which could be easily addressed. Beyond that, the stay at the flat was very nice.
