When I travel, I love to meet new people and experience some sort of cultural exchange. I'm new to Airbnb, but I have WWOOFed and CouchSurfed in the past. I've done a lot of my travels solo and very much look forward to meeting new friends along the road. I am curious and comfortable when I travel. I often want to see and do everything - especially the true locals'-favorite places, not the places overrun by tourists - it's often difficult choosing what to do in a limited amount of time. I enjoy acting like a local as much as I can, daydreaming what it may be like to live in each new locations!
Some other random things about me and what makes me tick:
-I have taken up pottery within the past couple of years and I absolutely love it.
-I love names - name trends, name meanings, what people name their kids, if there are any special patterns within a family, etc.
-Hi. My name is Kelly and I'm a chocoholic.
-Now that I have a house with a yard, I am thoroughly enjoying gardening. I can't wait for the flowers to bloom and to harvest the vegetables!
-Rock climbing and bouldering give me a rush like nothing else.
-I also love cheese...just about any kind except for the processed crap. I even love the smelly and moldy cheeses.
-I worry about - and dwell on - things WAY too much.
-Even my own mother says I can't sing or dance.
-I love baking and decorating cakes and pastries.
-My passport is, by far, my most prized possession.
-"Aubergine" is not only one of my favorite colors, it's also one of my favorite words.
-I have a list of foods that, if I liked, would make my life better and/or easier. Included on that list are: Broccoli, carrots, bananas (almost like them!), lemon, and - perhaps most unfortunately - beer.
-Among many other tasks, I am responsible for turning cue cards for James Lipton when I work on Inside the Actors Studio.
-I thoroughly enjoy hula-hooping, and can (and will!) do it for hours if possible.
-I love crosswords puzzles, logic puzzles, and any kind of other puzzles that need solving.
-I feel most at "home" when I'm not home.
-I am involved with a small, historic art-house cinema...I'm fascinated with similar classic movie theatres in other countries. Do you have a favorite to share with me?
