Thanks for the feedback and sorry for any disappointment. I’m sorry you saw an arrest in the neighbourhood (you have since clarified this was not on our street but on Ladbroke Grove where the tube station is). Unfortunately these things do happen in London but this is not typical of the area and it’s a shame it made you feel unsafe. In over a decade of living in and renting the flat I have never seen or had a problem, nor have any guests. Portobello is a lively, diverse area and other guests should read all reviews (including other listings in the area) and do their own research regarding the Portobello Road / Goldborne Road neighbourhood.
The flat is kept clean but sorry about the marks on the inside rim of the washing machine. This will be replaced now I am aware of it. Fresh soap is left in the cupboard but not shower gel or shampoo as previous guests have preferred to bring their own but I am happy to provide these if guests want them (the listing does specify essentials as soap only).
I’m sorry you found the sofa uncomfortable. It’s a little hard to know how to respond as the issue seems subjective - guests before you have said the opposite - that the sofa was too comfortable which made getting up from it difficult (!). The sofa is clear to see in the verified photos so people should take their view on comfort and age. The cushions are filled with goose down feathers, so it’s soft rather than firm, a sofa to sink into. If future guests feel it’s uncomfortable I would be happy to replace it.
I also mention the water pressure in the listing. Its not great due to water pressure on the street - other guests have commented that its fine, others find it a bit weak. Unfortunately it is hard to solve and I understand why people who have a strong shower at home might find it underwhelming.
Thanks again for your feedback.
