My friends visited San Francisco and I choose place for them to stay! First of all location of the apartment is the best! You are near to every significant sightseeing SF has! Secondly, the apartment was clean and more than one bedroom apartment! It was big and had everything the visitor needs. My friends are very satisfied and I can advice the apartment to everyone, on behalf of them!
Love the neighbourhood as it was conveniently located. The house was spotless clean when we arrived!
I've stayed with Airbnb from Milan to Sydney, New York to Buenos Aires. Indeed, I've used the service on four previous trips to San Francisco. Usually, my hosts have been eager for me to enjoy my stay and have tried to be accommodating.
Here, however, are extracts from the densely typed rules that awaited my arrival at Miriam's. Take a look now - most are not in the House Rules that have been posted on Airbnb
I am quoting directly with my occasional comments in brackets.
"Check-in is at 4.00PM. Early check in is NOT allowed: a $100 penalty will be assessed [?] to guests entering the property before 4.00PM.
Check- out is at 11.00AM. Late check out is NOT allowed: a $100 penalty fee will be assessed to guests departing after 11.00AM.
Please leave the unit in broom clean condition. If the unit is not left in such condition, an [unspecified] charge will be deducted from the security deposit.
Wash all plates, utensils, pots, coffeemaker etc and return to proper cabinets and drawers. A $25 fee will be imposed for unwashed dishes/utensils and a $25 fee for unwashed pots and pans.
Empty fridge of all items
Make sure no items were inadvertently packed e.g., towels, pillows, knives, cups, tupperware, etc. A $100 fee per item will be assessed for any missing items.
Place keys back in the lock box as you leave. and put lockbox in mailbox. A $50 fine will be charged for failing to return all keys provided.
A $100 fee per piece of luggage will be assessed for guests if luggage is left on the property.
A $300 fine will be charged if there is any evidence of smoking inside or outside the property.
The living room, bedroom and office have wall heaters. Due to fire hazards, please only use a unit when in that room. Multiple units should not be on at the same time. Also please turn the units off whenever leaving the house and especially when checking out. Failure to follow these rules will result in a minimum $100 penalty. Energy usage for the unit is recorded on an hourly basis. We will monitor the amount of energy usage at the end of the stay to ensure units were not used at the same time and/or left on while not in the unit/after check out.
House Rules [Some examples]
Only use appliances for their intended use [?]
Kitchen windows must be open while cooking
We reserve the right to make changes or adopt additional rules. Failure to comply with the rules may constitute a just cause for eviction."
[The apartment itself is ideally situated if you want to visit North Beach or Fisherman's Wharf. It is spacious, clean and very private (sitting at the end of a fifty yard alley). The little garden outside is delightful. If you can handle the oppressive atmosphere caused by the constant threat of penalty charges, then there's every chance you'll enjoy yourself here.]
My sister and I really enjoyed out stay at Miriam's apartment. It was easy to find and we quickly figured out appliances, local grocery stores, etc thanks to Miriam's detailed instructions.
The location was even better than expected. For those that haven't been to SF before this area is perfect. It's an easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Coit Tower. We also felt totally safe there at all times.
The apartment itself was clean and exactly as described. I'm happy to recommend it to anyone.
Miriam was a great host giving me information about the apartment before I got there, so I knew exactly what to expect. This was especially useful as I arrived late in the evening. The apartment was wonderfully quiet, with a great location central to all that I wanted to do.
Great location and space. Definitely would stay again!
Nice and spacious apartment with a perfect location in North Beach. Close to Fisherman's Wharf and Downtown if you do not mind walking a few blocks. The apartment was clean and contained everything we needed, it was also quiet and a bit secluded which was nice! Miriam was a perfect host and sent all the info we needed in advance and key retrieval was very smooth. She was also quick to respond to questions during our stay, which was very helpful!
We used Miriam's house for our honeymoon in San Francisco. It was the perfect location. Close to Fisherman's Wharf, close to cable cars, close to grocers, close to a small corner coffee shop. We enjoyed the money we saved being able to cook breakfast each day and have our own cocktails at night instead of having to eat every meal out. Miriam was very quick to respond to our questions and offered any help we may have needed. The house was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The only "bad" thing I would say is if you are tall, showers are a bit challenging. I'm 5'6" and I was fine but my husband is over 6' tall and the shower was a little short for him! :-)
Other than that, I can't think of any reason not to recommend staying in North Beach with Miriam!
This clean, spacious apartment was perfect to relax and unwind during our whirlwind two days in the city. The courtyard is lovely; my daughter termed it The Secret Garden.
Location - great! We walked to nearby Trader Joe's to stock up on a few items and the small market on the corner was also very handy. It's within easy walking distance of the Wharf, Pier 39, Coit Tower, Crooked Lombard Street, and public transit. Best pizza ever at award-winning Tony's only a couple of blocks away, in a fun vibrant area to boot!
The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes and appliances, and there was plenty of bedding and towels.
Thanks for a great stay!
