I grew up in Macon, Georgia (during the time that the Allman Brothers were recording there in the 70's) and moved to Raleigh, NC in 1982. Son enjoys theater light design/master electrician work in NYC and his wife works in theater stage management. My daughter lives in Boone, NC while attending Physician's Assistant school. I worked as a hospice nurse case manager for the past 5 years and had come to a point where I needed a "sabbatical" -- I went to a class in February 2013 for a weekend by the Rocky Mountain School of photography and learned of their intensive program in Missoula, Montana. As I heard them talk, I knew it was my next step. I signed up the next day -- so in the spring of 2013, I resigned my job, sold my house in Raleigh, and drove to Montana for 5 months of photography school. Now I'm hoping to use photography to reinvent into a second career -- and looking for where to set up my new roots.
